So, as you can see, I'm about half way to a full game collection at this point. I'm in no rush, so please no crazy offers to a man you think is desperate to have every Dreamcast game by the end of the week!
Every game I am "missing" at this point is on my Wanted List, so you'd want to go there first. As that list gets smaller, I'll move it to this topic so you can see anything that's "missing" right here. Also, I'm only looking for complete versions in at least very good condition. Not concerned about normal wear on the disc/manual/case, but I don't want any discs with true scratches in them, manuals that are warped or ripped... cases aren't a huge deal, since they can be replaced, but the inlay artwork needs to be in very good condition, please.
Anyway, I'm willing to trade or buy right now, but I'm (obviously) looking for fair trades or decent prices. Let the completing begin!

BTW, I now have these three duplicates:
NFL 2K
NFL 2K1
Phantasy Star Online (w/Demo Disc)
They are all complete and "very good" and I will trade them for ANY Dreamcast game on my Available list, so long as it's complete and at least "good". Straight up trades (1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3) or combo trades. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

Just went through your list and checked the conditions on the titles I had, the number is at 25. These are in what I'd consider exception shape (excluding the cases...most look good but not all) but some do have one-three hairline scratches, generally towards the outside of the disc. The scratches are about as faint as can be and more/less inevitable and I'd still put the discs in very good+/excellent condition. So...what exactly do you mean by "true scratches"? |
savior
| | #83 posted July 8, 2009 at 8:36pm (EST) |
Stuff that occurs just from gameplay I usually refer to as "scuffs". I guess by "true scratches" I mean something that happened from dropping the disc, wiping it with a dirty rag, those kinds of things. Scuffs I have no problem with.

Good idea. The Dreamcast games officially kicked the Xbox 360, Xbox, GameCube and Wii games down to a lower shelf with this bunch today, as well. There's only room for about 10 more games before the DC collection moves to a second shelf!

probably not, its a small local chain. Not like a pawn shop or anything. Just keep it in mind if you can't get some of them elsewhere this could be a back up.

Awesome. I was just going to post asking if you were actually going to post % completions or not.
Fun question though -- how many of those do you know work?

I'm done checking about 75% of them so far, and these are the only problems:
NBA 2K2 - I was told this one wouldn't work, but it was free and had good manual/box in case I could find a disc only. I have another copy anyway.
NFL 2K - One of my two copies won't boot. Luckily I have another... unfortunately I don't know which trader gave me the bum disc.
Ready2Rumble Boxing - Part of a very large trade where I got an amazing deal, so I'm not worried about one low-value game. I have another copy anyway.
Quake III: Arena - I contacted TPP and he said he would reimburse me for whatever it cost to buy one on eBay. Stand up trader, right there.

Just got done checking them all and the only other one that won't boot is Speed Devils. Again, though, this was a freebie thrown in with a lot of other games, so no worries. Unfortunately I don't have a backup, so I've officially had my first setback.
