actually there is no anti-venom for a brown recluse bite. they have to go in and cut away the afflicted area, often leaving horrible scars/holes where the bite occured.

Yeah, you need to be treated within 12 hours or something. By the end of a 24 hour period it looks like a bullet hole in your flesh and then just progressively gets worse.
They scare the crap out of me, because if you're one of the rare cases where you're allergic to the venom, that thing that happened to that guy's hand happens to your entire body and within a window less than a day long. Basically, you're fudgeed and you die.

Ahhh right that's what it was. I knew there was a reason you had to be treated really early on for it. So my bad, but yes, you need to be treated ASAP or you're screwed. Scary spiders.

then i guess it's a good thing i kill all unknown spiders in my apartment. my mom and brother both are allergic to spider bites, which means i most likely am too.

I kill all spiders, i wont sleep if i know there's a spider alive in the house. I woke up one day...anyway, a friend got bitten by a recluse, got treated the next day they gave him some shotsand it healed on it's own. |

Yeah I saw pictures of a guy who was allergic to them. Most cases you die within a couple hours, but this guy had a weird case where the venom spread through his body first so it looked like he was bruised all over. Once it overtook his body, it started eating away at him. Normally you die before you get really bad because of something to do with your lungs and the venom doing something to them, but he was screwed. He was perfectly fine as far as breathing went but he was just sitting up being eaten alive by it. Ick.

That's...only if you're allergic though. Black Widows, i think they have an anti-venom for them, but supposedly their venom is alot stronger |

ok, so yesterday we were driving down the mass turnpike to get to The Cure concert and I saw a truck way ahead of us and was like "hey look, a Wii truck" just joking around, as we got closer it was a Wii Mariokart truck, not sure what it was for, maybe just driving advertisement but it was awesome, here's the pics, not the best but thats a fast road and the truck was going slow
just noticed the wii and the flat panel on the wall, must be like a demo truck or something |
