I love what I do, and I refuse to do anything else, and business is actually picking up, but, man, trying to make a living in the arts is pathetic. Luckily I enjoy shooting other people, and I think I'm good at it, so people are seeing my images now and starting to call.
And the studio is a business, so I have to treat it as such and keep myself busy at all times otherwise I can get lazy. I try to not have the internet at the studio, so I don't end up wasting countless hours doing nothing but surfin'.
I'm sure it seems romantic and all, but trying to run a small business is like 80% business and 15% actually taking photographs.
