The other topic died so lets try to keep this active. Only a few days away! What are you predictions, surprises, etc for beginning this season? I love my Mets but the Braves and Phillies look nice also.

The Mets blew their chance today. The braves and Marlins look good but it's too early to tell.

Nah, neither Marlins or the Braves are serious contenders. Good teams but that's it.
Anyone see the Fielder GS that was taken away?! He tipped his helmet to the guy, but damn would I be throwing a crap fit. |

YES! We all know that there is no team greater than the Mets. Every other team in baseball is just mediocre.

Was too busy watching the Brewers walk in 4 runs.

The Braves are better since they don't have Suppan on their staff.

Try to talk crap about a team that isn't the Phillies, Braves, Yankees or Marlins. It may be just as fun.

Dye and Konerko hit back to back home runs today. It was Dye's 300th career home run. Oh, it was Konerko's 300th career home run, too. |

I find that even more impressive than the double switch hitting HR's the pair from Arizona put up last week. |

Do you guys think I should trade BJ Ryan for Ervin Santana in my fantasy league? I sort of need SP, and my RP isn't that great either. |
mentalpowers

| | #150 posted April 13, 2009 at 8:31pm (EST) |
I'm not a big Santana fan, but Ryan isn't very good. Is it roto or head to head? Daily updates or weekly? |

10-1 Tampa and Wright gets the first HR of the year and in the history of the stadium for a Met to tie it up 5-5 |

Wang is doing awesome the last 2 starts. |

I actually expected Wang to be the most consistent starter for the Yanks. Either I was wrong, or the rest of their starters are going to be absurdly inconsistent. I'd guess the former, but I'm hoping for the latter. |

I think he'll get better.. got to change it around soon though, because a 72.00 ERA won't cut it. |
