I dunno...just something different to own, I guess. I stopped raising guinea pigs and it sucks not having any pets in my room. I don't care for dogs anymore, and cats aren't any fun, so I figured a ferret would be the right type of animal to play around with.

I remember a long time ago, when I first heard Richie's story about him living with his dad and taking care of him instead of moving out on his own
and getting a job/having a life. Well, I felt empathy for him. I thought that he was doing a great thing 'giving up' a normal life because family came first, etc.
But then, his father passed away, and I felt empathy for him and hoped he wasn't taking it too hard, since they knew it was coming and such. But deep down
I thought that it would be a good thing for richie, being able to rekindle his independence and thought he would get a job and become a responsible member
of society and such.

I gave him some time, because the man needed time to grieve and reestablish himself. Then, after some time passes, he gets a job. I thought
'Good for him!'. He was talking about it for a little while, then some time passes and someone asked about his job or something, and he said that he hadn't
worked that job for a month, and that he only worked there 2 weeks. I was surprised, and a little disappointed, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought that
maybe the job it's self wasn't the right fit for him. I figured he was actively looking for another job and was still trying to better himself. Well, after months I was forced
to realize that he has just given up.

All he does is hang around with his brother and his brother's friends come to GTZ and drink cheap alcohol, usually more than one of these things at any given time.. He seems to be living off of a network of paypal and
face to face loans, and somehow manages to keep paying them off, but claims not to be receiving government support such as money or food stamps. This is why I
dislike the guy so much. He is a complete leech on the back of society in countless ways.

Someone can copy/paste this so richie sees this, he claimed to have filtered me, so he actually might have.

The problem I have with a post like this, is that you make it seem like he personally owes it to you to fix up his life, in a way that you deem acceptable. Who are you to him? Nobody. All of us here are nobodies when it comes to deciding the fate of Richie's life, and judging its quality. We're not in a position to do so. I don't get why this seems to not connect with anybody. Let the man live his life the way he wants. It's fine to offer suggestions, it's fine to care, I'm not saying you shouldn't do that. But you have no right to be "disappointed" with him...only he has that right, and only he knows whether he is happy or not. What if we were to apply this Richie situation to other people? You, for example. It strikes me odd that you're being so judgmental, of all people. Everyone is gonna have some aspect(s) of their life that others frown upon, or disagree with, or are disappointed with. That's normal, and that's always gonna be true, so stop singling Richie out. Or don't, I guess. I just don't see what you're trying to accomplish here. If Richie is gonna change his ways, it won't be because you told him so or because you'll disapprove of him otherwise; it will be on his own terms, and for his own reasons. Live, and let live, dammit!
