It may seem like im joking but im really not. It makes perfect sense to me. I know people who'd do such things for FAR less than the NBA minimum salary. |

for me when i go to a show or concert dub its to let loose a little bit and enjoy the music i love to hear live. what i meant was if you didnt like not being able to take a steady picture during lacuna coils set then you deff wouldnt enjoy being on the floor during a heavier show. i mean when i saw burning human last summer 10 seconds into their first song a guy got knocked out from a crazy foot to the skullage, thats the price you pay if you wanna be in the mix

Thats a great plan.
I'm relaxing before my first day at a new job.
I'm going to be the guy who goes out at night and power washes parking lots and sidewalks. Should be interesting... job was easy as hell to get, so I'm going to assume that it'll suck balls. I was hired literally 20 minutes after I sent an email saying I was interested in a job.

STFU, Wheeler. For me, it's a bit of everything. Hearing the music, having a good time, and if I come out of there with something, it's a bonus.
Last night, I only went to hear Lacuna Coil....that was it. I didn't give a rat's ass about any of the others.

It wasn't that I couldn't take a steady picture, it's that I couldn't take a picture that didn't have a bunch of heads in the way because everyone around me was so fudging tall.

...seriously?
here's a few reasons:
1) sending a "thug" in the beginning to go after someone is not going to go unnoticed, nor will it go unpunished (after the game, if not right away). The NBA has fought hard to get rid of the unfair "thug league" label, and you could bet on it that they wouldn't take this lightly
2) If you send a physical bench scrub out there in the beginning (good starts are crucial, especially in playoff basketball), you're basically playing 4 on 5 until a good "thugging" opportunity arises. It may not for a while.
3) the fans will not approve (most of them, at least)...some will applaud the move but most will think it's cheap and dirty
4) the coach wouldn't risk losing his job like that...and you know he'd the the first to go.
5) the player, whoever he is, is a player not a thug, and most likely doesn't want to be known as "that guy"
not to mention....it's wrong...and that's not what basketball is about...but mostly for reason #1

I remember during the Rodman-era Bulls years the opposing team (can't remember who) had one of their towel guys on the team just to try and get Rodman to foul out during the playoffs. Anyone remember that? I think it was around '96 or '97. |

I definitely remember what you're talking about, but can't remember who it was. I don't think it was Ostertag because he played a lot of minutes back then...who else was on that bench. Scott Padgett? I really can't remember. I loved watching Jordan destroy the Jazz two years in a row, breaking Stockton and Malone's little championship dreams, one game winning play at a time! Silly Byron Russell trying to guard Jordan...tsk, tsk.

Just got back from the hardest night of manual labor that I've done in years. Last night was apparently an easy night. I can't wait to see what tonight brings. But, I resolve not to quit this crapty job with crapty pay until I conquer it. Plus, I haven't had income in months... I just can't live like this anymore.
God, I've been awake for 26 hours too... why the fudge did I do this to myself. Off to bed before I pass out in this chair.
