That call really makes the 5th and 6th playoff-umpires seem pointless.
The ump at third base probably would have made the correct call. |

Basically, Posada got caught in a run down between home and third. Cano advanced from second, but was standing there, watching the play, and not stepping on the base. Napoli, the Angel's catcher, ran Posada back to 3rd, but Posada didn't stand on the base either. Napoli then tagged Cano and Posada, neither touching third base, and the ump ruled that only Posada was out, and Cano got to stay on third. It resulted in no runs though.
