So I just got this thing last week with a combined Sony Bravia purchase... this thing is friggin sweet. I never realized what I was missing. *doh* Picked up Demon's Souls (available for trade in a week cuz its likely too hard), Uncharted 2 and Madden (4-0 online who wants some!). The picture quality is so incredible it makes porn fun again! And I can finally watch blu ray!!!

I have a few questions --

1. When surfing the internet, can I open up more than one page and still have it load/play in the background while I continue to surf? (ex. I wanna listen to Pandora.com streaming radio but if I open up another page it immediately shuts the music off unless I'm literally looking at the pandora page)

2. If I purchase a PSP game through the online store, can I play it with the PS3....? cuz I don't own a psp... no, right?

3. I bought a few games, FF7, FFTactics, 1942, Legend of Han Tao (i think that's the name).......... so if my machine breaks or warranty replaces it, do I lose these games?

Yeah I just enjoyed the new weapons and the lack of hackers/cheaters on socom2 from socom. Socom had a pretty good campaign as well, especially for a co-op game at the time. First mission sucked for the second player you spent half the mission in the prison cell.

Lino, you need to get a PSP to get the most enjoyment out of your new system. I suggest an older, modded, system.

Also, upgrade the HDD on your PS3 to the largest you can afford. Rip, rip, rip and use.

Purchase $2 DVDs/CDs. Rip/compress them. Use your PS3 and PSP as the media device combo they were meant to be.

Cloned twins that receive 100% dominant or recessive genes, cyber ninjas, an arm that changes Ocelot into Liquid via hypnosis, a fat rollerskating guy who plants bombs, nanomachines that instantly heal Vamp, one man taking on 25 MG RAY units, an AI system created by Zero to carry out his will since humans won't be able to, a psychic who makes your controller rumble, a mimic that perfectly mimics that DARPA chief., a virus that kills people based on their DNA and nanomachines, "man cannons"...

... the cosmonaut who was the really first human in outer space but suffered an accident that upon reentry where he was engulfed in flames, became immune to pain, and became a raged pyromaniac with visions of setting the world ablaze. He still wears his flame retardant cosmo-suit.

MGS is pretty ridiculous.

If you install a Linux flavor on your PS3, you can then install Opera browser, and then install the Opera Pandora brows and listen plugin.
That would allow you to listen to Pandora while doing everything other than playing a game.

Let me elaborate.

Rip your dvd .vob files on your computer to two mpeg-4 formats: One large file data file (for PS3 viewing; maybe 1.25 gb) one small (for PSP viewing; maybe 400 mb for duo sticks). For the PSP, get rid of "unnecessary" things like alt languages, subtitles, audio formats, etc. Transfer them to your PS3.

Coupled, you can view your DVD movies at any time on your PS3 and can have any of them available for loading onto memory sticks for on the go PSP viewing.

For CDs, pretty much the same thing. But, the cool thing is that the PS3 will do the ripping for you, including providing tags. Your PSP is your mp3 player.

I want a terrabyte+ external USB.....someday.
