He'd be good as Nathan Drake if they made an Uncharted movie.
and you know that from the very beginning of the movie. That really killed the mood for me because at every major plot point, I thought he could be persuaded to do otherwise but in the back of my head, I knew it was inevitable. Will Smith's acting is great, and the romance that forms between him and Rosario Dawson's character felt pretty genuine. Still, the movie never shakes the supremely depressing overtone except for the end where you appreciate what Smith's character did, but still regret knowing the price it took to get there.
It's good that those kind of people exist. In my world they fade into the background and make good looking people look even better. God bless them and their will to exist in a world where they are looked at as nothing more than crap.
Descent (not the horror one, the rape one) - 3/10 - What the fudge just happened here? Gets a 2 for Rosario Dawson being highly attractive, 1 for her acting.
Haven't really watched any new movies lately just some christmas movies and trailer park boys. Also thought Iron Man was overrated and after 2nd viewing thought it sucked balls.

I've got that on my instant queue because it has Rosario Dawson and is unrated. It sounds like I should just look for the clips of her nekid.
I'm all in favor of indie, artsy-fartsy, experimental crap, but this is just too out there for me. It's a silent, black & white film, shot on an antique, hand-crank camera. It tells the story of an elderly gay couple on a rural Southern farm in the 1920s who find the "moon princess" in an ear of corn. Seriously.
Classic Cantero quote:
"Gun Valkyrie just wasn't any good." -- 2003
"Just went through GUNVALKYRIE again. Got all the cores this time, Kelly Lv-3 is pretty sweet.

Unfortunately all you get for that 'UR' is a 30 second shot of a guys penis and eventually another 10 second shot of it later on. Don't bother man, I promise you there's nothing redeeming about it other than Rosario Dawson in it.

I like the look of this but every time I see a trailer I can't help but think this is going to be bad. I mean, they're letting a comic book writer/artist direct a movie for the first time. I don't see that going well the first time out.

Yeah, I love this one. I even love that ridiculously long and boring 20-30 minute portion that they cut out of the Theatrical edition.

Sounds like somebody had too much fun at art school.
Meh. It was pretty good. Technically incredible, the mouths and eyes are certainly the best that has been done in film so far. Otherwise though, it was just kind of meh.
Bedtime Stories - Twas our XMas film this year. Didn't really want to see it (I voted for Benjamin Button), but my sister's kids won the vote by force of their sheer numbers. She has a brood. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised--very good family flick.
I was hoping my niece would wanna see that because she's spending the night here at the house and my parents are gonna take her to see a movie before they take her back home, and I would like to see Bedtime Stories. She wants to go see Tales of Desperaux instead.
I'm not a fan of Paul W. S. Anderson (not to be confused with the brilliant Paul Thomas Anderson) but I enjoyed this flick.
It's just a pure balls out action flick. The storyline is extremely predictable, there's no twists or turns really, however it has a lot of action and some great effects with cars + weapons. A good simple action flick to enjoy on a saturday evening.
Resident Evil: Degeneration - 6/10 - It's a CG movie purely for the Resident Evil fans. I would think that if you weren't a fan, you'd have no idea what was going on. The voice acting seemed kinda wooden at times, but it's not like it was piss-poor bad either. It was kinda cool to see a couple of scenes from RE2 recreated in the movie as flashbacks and I'm not quite sure what is up with Claire's design because she looks like she has a perpetual smirk on her face.
I enjoyed it because I am a Resident Evil fan and it's only worth seeing if you're one too, otherwise I wouldn't bother with it.
Nightmare Before Christmas-10/10-Got it for christmas and ill watch it every christmas now that I finally have my own copy of it. Pretty nice 3 disc edition too. I Frankenweenie and Vincent.
Shooters-7/10-Not the Mark Wahlburg movie. This wasnt as good the second time, but still pretty gritty and grimy so it was still fun.
Burn After Reading-8.5/10-bahahahahahaha, really funny. Love stuff that shows just how stupid humans are. Just a fun collage of actors to watch.
25th Hour-8/10-Took me way too long to watch this movie. Really good stuff. PSH was probably my favorite character. But I'm still not a big fan of Spike Lee's directing and I thought the film was a little too long.

I love most Coen brothers films, they are two of my favorite directors/writers but I just did not like No country for old men. I know what it was trying to do, but the ending and other things just disappointed me to no end.
(spoilers)
The way they have you following the main character throughout most of the film and then kill him off without even being there and other tthings that I just didn't really like.
I thought There will be blood was a much better film compared to it.
True Grit - 8/10 - I'm not a big old western fan, but I started watching it and I liked it. It's always interesting to see well known actors in their earlier roles, in this case Robert Duvall and Dennis Hopper.

Thats what I liked about it, lol. Nice and different.
I wouldnt say twbb was much better, but I did like it more.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer-7/10-pretty entertaining. lame-cheese sauce like both of the others. I love Maria Bello, but I was missing Rachel Weisz.
