The Fall - 8/10.

This film came out of left field for me. Hadn't heard much about it and watched it this evening and was floored. It's an extremely vivid film, some great looking scenes (all real location based too, not cgi).

The story itself was great, even though the little girl did have obvious problems with English (She learned it as the film was being made and things) it was still good.

It seems like a good fantasy/story for Children but I was surprised at a few of the mroe violent scenes wtih the blood and other things (especially near the ending with the mystic).

Good actors (Sir Ben), just not my kind of movie. It does have Penelope Cruz naked though, and a nice breast close up at that. I really dont find Penelope Cruz to be THAT pretty but she sure has beautiful boobies! >__< heh

Taking a funny, witty Deadpool and making him a mute (for logical reasons, but still) was a terrible move.

I thought Wolverine was entertaining overall but it's not gonna be a purchase down the road. They do give some interesting background but it was just a checklist to me like "ok why does he smoke a cigar all the time? check. why the leather coat? check. where did the adamantium come from? check."

Sabertooth was awesome though...SOOOO much better than the one in the original X-Men film. * yes *

They were "brothers" only because they'd been together so long. I don't remember anything ever being said about them being literal brothers. Maybe I missed something...

Perfume- 10/10
at first I thought this movie was gonna suck, but man when you figure out he has an accute sense of smell and he kills to make perfume the movie really takes off. Visuals are awesome to, doesn't look cheap at all. Plus it has Dustin Hoffman and a few other big stars in it.

excellent excellent movie

Plus theres a MASS orgy at the end because he makes the perfect perfume which makes people believe their in paradise

I love perfume, the book is really good. I hear it is like the German equivalent to catcher in the rye, in that everyone reads it in school.
The book goes much further into his various perfumes. He is born without a smell, so he makes different perfumes for himself. Except they all have different effects on people.

Star Trek (2009) - 9.999999/10 - I never give a perfect ten but this was close. I had never watched any of the old movies, have seen a few episodes of the show, so I am not one who can compare old to new, but I thought the movie was excellent. I was lucky, and obtained a few tickets for the press release. From the opening to the final few seconds, I thought every part of this movie was great.

Visuals - Amazing
Acting - Unexpected but excellent. The guy playing Kirk was great, as was (Slyer) Spock, though I did think from time to time heads were going to be cut open, lol.
Sound - The music worked great
Story - Good story, great character development, amazing atmosphere.

I dont have much of a background with Star Trek but a family member who has been a long time fan was one of the people in attendence with me and they absolutely loved every minute of it. Also the majority of the audiance was applauding when it was all said and done.

I had thought that the new Terminator would be the best movie of the summer/year but I am not so sure now.

If you dont like it, sorry. I thought it was an amazing movie.

My review was very poorly written but I thought I would just put it out on here, until I could write something better. It truly was an amazing movie though, like I said maybe not for everyone and having watched very little of the original stuff, I cant base it off of that. But I would highly recommend going to the theater and watching this movie. I also left out Eric Bana, forgot to give him credit and it certainly is due, the more I think about the movie the more I realize how great it really was.

Seven Pounds - 4/10
very predictable movie, some people I know told me there was a huge surprise at the end of the movie, so I assume everyone I know who saw the movie is either stupid or mildly retarded.
the story was not very strong, and the characters were weak, I am not sure how this movie got so much praise.

I haven't heard much praise at all about it.
Most reviews I saw said it was pretty much an average film being carried by Smith.

I heard this and throughout the whole movie I was like...that was the "surprise???" I knew it from the start what was happening, didn't surprise me at the least.

I still found the film enjoyable though[, mainly because of Rosario Dawson.

I think RR is a good actor, doesnt matter if its a serious or funny movie, hes pretty good at both. Havent seen Wolverine yet so I cant say if hes good there or not.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine: 6/10
Not terrible, but nothing amazing either. When you're doing a prequel to a franchise that has three movies already, you need to either bring something new to the table (something the audience can't figure out from what they know from later movies) or really WOW the audience with some killer action sequences. I felt the movie did neither. I know where Sabretooth and Stryker are because of the later movies, I know where Wolverine will end up because of the later movies, etc. The only cool sequence was in the very beginning of the movie when we saw the group of mutants using their powers, and if they had kept that up, I would have been satisfied... not necessarily those same mutants, but give me some damn mutant powers in action. Gambit tossing a few cards isn't exactly the stuff to knock a geek's socks off. But really, we were just treated to Sabretooth bouncing around a lot and

A pretty weak, very short fight with Deadpool.

Overall, fairly underwhelming.

True Romance - 8/10

Watched this on a recommendation from a friend who couldn't believe I'd never seen it. Love the scene with Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken, fudging classic. I don't know if it's because it is from 1993, but it seemed 'young' the writing/acting didn't have as heavy of a presence as it could have had. The whole way Patricia Arquette's and Christian Slater's characters met seemed to happen fast and the scenes between them weren't what I'd call great acting. Then again, it is 16 years old. I enjoyed it all in all, great cast and classic violence.

0___0 , I kinda liked predator 2, when to a different path which is good. I loved how the predator roamed around the 'concrete jungle' wreaking havoc.

Anyways...my turn!

The Spirit

I read some really bad reviews about this movie. I thought it deserved a shot anyway since I loved both 300 and Sin City. I have to say Its not a bad movie but its definitely not a good one, not even near.

Pros: The art dir, the Sin City look is still good, must be great on bluray. It has SLJackson and Scarlett Johansson in it.

Cons: The main actor. Eva Mendez. Nobody ever looks/acts serious. Whats with the Spirit's forced voice? Holy crap Batman copy!

Samuel L. Jackson is a Nazi? really? Somebody please explain this to me!
. The monologues...The story...I can keep going.

So, I did finish watching the movie so its not really bad....its just a huge disappointment.

Score: 4/10
