Hmm, it's been a while since I've seen it, but it just didn't do anything for me. Well, it wasn't as awful as I make it out to be (that's for Reed's benefit, roffles), but from what I recall, I didn't care for the characters, Mel's directing seemed below par, the violence was gratuitous in a boring way, the action never really snapped for me, and the ending was abrupt. I think I know what Mr. Gibson was trying to say with the movie, but it never really got my blood going like a good action flick should. It's nowhere as near as good as Braveheart, which is one of my faves.
I should watch Apocalypto again one day, to see how I feel on a repeat viewing. If you want me to, Jeffro, I'd do it for you .
Not bad, not great, just not really memorable. The whole adventureland aspect of it was pretty cool, but if you take that away it is absolutely nothing original. A few funny parts, but not really laugh out loud funny.

You should ttly do it for me. Although it seems like you've already viewed it and payed attention well enough to make an educated decision. I like it because it's different and something people really havnt touched on too much, but mostly because it's different to me, can't really put my finger on it to tell ya truth.
I'd rather be a pussy-whipped dog, eat pussy, and have pussy-lips glued to my face with a clit-ring in my nose.

It's probably worth a repeat viewing. I do love Mr. Gibson, for Braveheart alone. I know what ya mean about not being able to put your finger on it as well, there are movies that have some indelible attraction, but I'm just not sure why, lol. Books too!

I agree, Apocalypto is amazing. Way too many movies about guns and gangsters lately...oh and whats the deal with Oriental ghosts? Enough already. I think it was very original and I like the fact that he went with the dialect+subtitles and unknown actors...awesome. After watching apocalypto I cant help to see 10,000BC as pure garbage.
I give Apocalypto
Score - 10/10
We should be getting more Wild West movies...reminds me
Appaloosa
Score - 8.5/10, would give it a 10 if it had more action, it might bore some people.
Quarantine - 8/10: I didn't really know what to expect from this movie, but I ended up really enjoying it. There are some parts that irritated me, but they were occurrences that are typical with these types of movies. I'm actually thinking about giving it another watch, cause the sun was shining on the t.v. and it was pretty hard to see in the beginning.
Twilight - The characters were well cast, and it moved faster than the book. Even seemed more romantic. I never caught the romance in the book at all. I'm not a big fan of Stephanie Meyer's writing style--too much bullcrap mixed in with the conversations, too many teeny-bopper descriptions of Edward-- but it translates well to the screen. Other than a few quibbles with a handful of bad camera shots, a pleasant surprise.

Listen to Silverstein Shipwreck in the Sand, March 31st!!
I was a huge fan of the show and after reading reviews of the movie I wasn't sure about it.
I watched it tonight and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Sure there are episodes that had better comedy and episodes that had other better elements, but as a whole I felt this was good to close out the series if that's how it ends up (which it looks that way so far).
Sure, it would be nice to have Rube and the real Daisy in it but they weren't and I think the way they wrote Rube's character gave closure to him while also being a good set up for the overall plot line with the new guy.
Daisy however, I think out of the cast she was the weakest one, perhaps it was because I just loved her as she was portrayed by the other actresses. She had this bubbly pop to her that the new one didn't quite get right, she seemed more "ditzy" rather then "bubbly" to me.
Back to the storyline though, by the end I felt that it gave good closure to the series while also remaining somewhat open as well.
The ending pretty much nailed it ( as far as my opinon) that it was a way for Rube to let her know he was handing her the reins now and she was going to be the head reaper for their group.
I absolutely hated what they did with Rube. It left so many questions unanswered. It bugs me so much that they didn't have more time to go into his past. A third season was sorely needed.

Honestly, I wish they would've just sent him off on an extended vacation or something, not just write him off. I understand that they couldn't get him, but he was the character I've always cared most about. His past was such a mystery and I always wanted to see who delivered "the list" to him.
Totally different vibe then the other ones though, mostly seemed a lot more serious. But, it still had enough of the humor and fun. More muscle cars was awesome though, and honestly, the inclusion of the GNX made it a perfect movie from the get go.
Oh c'mon, no Lawls for the rhym'n? You fudging bastard's are actually gonna get me to rent the crap, and I havnt desired to see another FatF since halfway through the second one.
PS-Is Wheelman suppose to be a FandF game? Or was it just a coincidence it got released around the time FandF did?

I hate the F&F but I really enjoyed the Tokyo Drift. Not a great movie, just more ejoyable than the others. My brother just came back from watching the new one and when I asked him about it he said "meh".
I dont think Wheelman has anything to do with F&F except for the actor
I thought there were a few reeally funny parts in Yes Man. I was surprised
Observe and Report -8/10
Not as good as some of his other movies. There were some really funny parts, but the actual story did not seem as thought out as other movies his friends and him do.
He plays the character likes he's super serious about being a mall cop, and it really makes the movie.
