Public Enemies: 9/10 - I want to give it a 10, but I'm still letting it marinate. This has been easily one of my favorite movies that I've seen recently, definitely my favorite film of 2009. I'd put it above Star Trek and Up, probably #2 and #3 for me this year so far.
Tomorrow night at midnight is Harry Potter. 2.5 hours of "The book did it better, but that's pretty cool, I guess..."

I couldn't agree more. Wow, dakota fanning, playing yet another creepy kid. Camilla Belle did look good even with blood coming out of her nose. It was hilarious watching her fight.
If anyone hasn't seen Taken with Liam Neeson, that was a great thriller/action flick.
Fanboys was really good for a mindless comedy to watch. It has a great cast and a lot of awesome cameos.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - 8/10 - I don't see why this movie gets so much hate. Good action, story was straightforward, a bit slow at times. Acting was acceptable, characters were a bit boring (except for Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Gambit).

And that's just what they used in the trailer. I am so not seeing this movie.
I am going to see the new Harry Potter movie later tonight, though. Looks to be pretty good, and it made over $22 million in midnight showings last night according to the radio report I just heard.

Bruno seemed to push boundaries just to push them. I didn't really see a point in watching Bruno waxing his ass while talking to a Hollywood agent nor watching close-up of penis. Average americans screening new TV show pilots don't like watching a close-up of a penis? Shocking!
Make sure you watch Da Ali G Show, Bruno is actually funny in it.
Pros: A lot of great character moments, very humorous, Special effects were good
Cons: Most shots were much too stylized- I thought I was watching 300, the contrast was increased so much. Any shots where they didn't mess with the highlights looked beautiful, though.
Some things felt much too rushed, which is going to happen with any adaptation, but they should have gotten rid of a few funny character parts in favor of the overall story.
Biggest Problem of all:
It amazes me that they felt it was a good idea to add in two scenes that were not shown in the book (the beginning bridge attack, and the attack on the Weasleys house), yet they decided not to have the final attack on hogwarts AT ALL. They skipped it all and just killed dumbledore and ended it. That was a huge battle and a huge part of the book and what it represented for the story and the characters. Because they didn't have this, the movie doesn't really have a good climax, and simply serves as an in between to the final movies. It also makes the addition of some characters like Fenrir Greyback pointless since they didn't even get to cause any real destruction at the school. I really don't understand whose idea it was it cut it out completely.
Do you think there's any chance they could somehow work it into later movies? It had been a while since I read the books and after I saw the movie with no battle scene, I thought the fight was actually in the last book. But since they really did leave it out, it's really the biggest let-down in the series unless they can somehow work it back in.
Doubtful, I'd say considering they already have so much stuff in the last book they had to split it in to two movies. Not to mention the time line messed up. There will be a big fight in the last one anyway. But yeah, really bad move not putting it in the movie since it would have been the most exciting part and shown just how dangerous the world has gotten. Not to mention, how much everyone at the school has grown up, being able to fight back.

I 100% agree with you about the Ali G movie. It is really bad. You should still watch Ali G show. It's great.
I thought Dracula had a good atmosphere in some scenes but some of the acting (lol Keanu) and the flow just fell off a bit. I also really really did not care for how they made Dracula look and his whole Asian styled clothing, it just looked out of place imo.

I agree, Ali G show is awesome. Bruno is very funny there.
I'm a huge Gilliam fan (loved the Time bandits and Adventures of Baron Munchausen, etc) but also found Brazil to be disappointing. I didn't see it back then but later on when I heard about it and how it was a classic/great film, perhaps I had it overhyped in my head but I just did not enjoy it that much.

Yeah, same here. A shame! But as the years go by I'll think back on how I didn't really like Brazil and wonder why and watch it again and say HEY THIS IS PRETTY GOOD AFTERALL and the low bar I set in my mind will be bested! I've got the whole thing planned out.
I'm absolutely addicted to this show. I have yet to be disappointed by an episode. I love all the cliffhangers and how they leave you in the dark for so long. I just started season 3, but it's looking like another 10/10.
The Uninvited - 5/10
Turned out to be a completely different movie than what I was expecting. I was pretty bored throughout the whole movie.
I didn't have real high expectations for this movie, but it was pretty bad. Couple of kinda funny parts, but the whole "Extreme Sports Mall Robbers" thing was pretty lame. I didn't actually even finish the movie, so I don't know how it ended.
The Hangover - Score 9.8 out of 10. I know Im late to watch it but fudge it just came out in theaters here! wtf?
Anyway, I laughed all the way through to the very end. Brilliant comedy, it had been a while since I laughed so much. Its all in the script and the fat guy. The cast isnt that important but does the job though.

Yeah, this is part of the reason that I waited so long to get into it. I hate having to wait a week to get an answer. I didn't get into 24 until last year either, for the same reason.
Heartbreak Kid - 5/10 - This really wasn't that funny. Quite a disappointment. Everything seemed more mean than funny.
My Best Friend's Girl - 6.5/10 - Meh.
I saw the sixth HP movie yesterday. I thought it was pretty average. I haven't read that book in a while, but there seemed to be some interesting choices what was omitted and added. I agree with most of what others have put in spoilers above.
