Fantastic movie with great characters. I love the subtle comedy that is in this, and it really makes it unique.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emporer - 6/10:
Pretty lackluster. The visuals were neat, but that's about it. Maria Bello wasn't a great replacement for Rachel Weisz. Then again, it never really works well when a different actor plays the same character. |

I hated Step Brothers the first time I saw it, but really enjoyed it the second and third times.
The Ugly Truth - 4/10:
One of the most predictable movies I've ever seen in my life. Katherine Heigl is obnoxious, I can't stand her. Just an overall boring movie.
Max Payne - 6/10:
I enjoyed the visuals, especially the valkyries, but that was about it. I had a hard time staying interested in this movie. |

Funny People - 9/10
Not the comedy I thought it would be, I was expecting some dumb cookie cutter Apatow movie, but was surprised at how good of a story the movie actually had.

Godfather 2 10/10(came on right after Godfather one(on AMC of course)
Goodfellas 9/10(Bravo today )

Harsh Times - 9/10
I loved it. I can definitely predict some people's feelings about it, especially the abundance of awkward "dawg" usage....but I think it was supposed to sound that way. I think Bale nailed his character completely. Color me...NOT SURPRISED! But seriously, the story was cool, it was interesting, F-Rod and C-Bale (yeah, we're dawgs so I can call them that) were terrific as usual, there was a crapload of humor peppered into otherwise not-so-humorous situations, pacing was great, the dialogue and situations just had this realistic, kind of organic feel to them, and it was just really entertaining. Eva Longoria Parker was actually in a good movie! Color me SHOCKED.

You and I must be on the same HBO schedule. I just got done watching it and feel about the same as it. 9/10, but I also wish they would have handled everything with his daughter differently. |
