This isn't the issue. This topic was brought up because it was on the front page. Filtering won't change that.
And Knight, this isn't an issue of freedom of speech or any other freedom. Like I said, your thinking is ass backwards and you are indeed just trying to get a rise out of it. If a clear Nazi symbol, not a swastika but a Nazi swastika, is presented on the front page of this site it has the ability to harm the site's reputation and the flux of the site. A far outside chance but a possibility nonetheless.

No doubt, racist freaks that display arcane symbolism as such are the most vile and ignorant of the right wing in our country.
That said, the symbol being on the front page of gametz is the price bill pays for allowing us to have the free speech that we do enjoy, particularly if one is a subscriber (we have more speech rights than the freeloaders; i.e. images and sigs). One can easily ban porn; how do you ban symbols and where does it end? Will I still be able to bow down to the McCain toast if he wins the presidency?

I can understand why everyone is up in arms over this, but it really is stupid. It's bringing attention to what is essentially a non-issue. Maybe I haven't seen Knight post a lot, but I don't think he's gone around parading it and I've never heard any anti-Semitic remarks come from him. If he's a neo-Nazi, fine, but as long as he keeps his opinions in check, I don't care if he plasters pictures of Nazis, swastikas, Hitler, etc. all over his bio page.

Not much he can do about that since the module does randomly select people to put in it. I could put a picture of a pentagram or something as my bio pic and if it showed my info in that module, I'm sure just as many people would complain that GTZ promotes Satanism.

You guys need to relax. It's not like it would have been on the front page the entire time. Doesn't it randomly choose different users every day, or every time the page is reloaded? If it's that big of a deal, be a subscriber and remove the module altogether.
Just move on, drop the issue, because it's not like GTZ is the only place on the Internet where you'll find racial intolerance.
