I've been hitting the older titles lately. Not sure why...

Need for Speed: Most Wanted - After giving up on this a few months ago because it got too hard (with about 5 blacklist memebers to go) I have picked it up again and only have 2 members left now. I dunno why I'm suddenly able to continue with this but the difficulty seems more about not making mistakes. If you crash hard in one of the longer races you will prob never get back to 1st place so it's better to just restart. So it takes a great run to win but I've been making great progress and have really enjoyed this game.

Also playing Prey which is good but I'm not sure I'm going to stick with it. I'm not too far into the game but am already kinda tired of the gooey walls.

What are you guys currently playing on the 360?

I've been mostly playing Mass Effect, Guitar Hero 2/3, and The Orange Box... Just got Rock Band and Call of Duty 4. Still need to play Bioshock which I picked up recently. I figure I'm pretty much set with some ridiculously awesome gaming for quite some time. * smile *

I'm a nasty, scarred mercenary type in Mass Effect--not evil, per se, but I'm enjoying the role-playing for the little bit of time I've had to play it. Hoping to get in a chunk of time this weekend after I finish Half-Life Source * smile * .

Playing CoD4, and boy, if it's not the best war game I've ever played (not including Wolfenstein of course)...

I'm playing it on hardened though, and its really difficult. I'm on the mission where you assasinate the guy and then have to get away. I'm at the extraction point, but I can't hold all the guys off befroe the chopper gets here.

The key is where you place the claymores. Place a crapload near the ferris wheel and pretty much anywhere between you and the guy sniping. They (at least in normal) don't usually get good shots on you, but they love to hide in the stand thingee to the right so you may want to put a few there as well. Once they say something about the chopper being almost there it gives you a checkpoint which should help.

The hardest part for me was carrying that fat ass and having to drop him at the right time without getting nade'd. Both (same level?) are fun as hell though. I loved having the onslaught of hundreds of guys coming after me and having to pick em all off. I can't imagine it on hardened or anything about normal though * envy *

Started playing Forza 2 tonight. Holy crap this is sweet. The menus rock, the music is acceptable, and the gameplay is very nicely done. It definitely doesn't have the "wow" factor that each Gran Turismo does but this is a seriously fantastic game.

I actually found Forza (The first one at least) to be better then any previous Gran Turismo. And before Forza to me the Gran Turismo games where the top of the Racing Sim games. (Consoles.)

Forza 2 is great too. Although lacking graphic wise for the "Feel" of the game and how it plays it still is awesome. And in my opinion still the best. (Until Gran Turismo 5 Comes along perhaps.)

If you normally play Racing sims be sure to tweak the settings. Things like Racing line and easy A.I is for Noobs. You should definately have those off. You get more money for it too. Should have the A.I to Medium (or normal) at the least to get a challenge out of it (A.I wise. As it's always a nice challenge to just race, I.E take corners nicely etc.) The only assist I usually leave on is the ABS. Though sometimes with crazier to handle cars or if the A.I is able to magically stay glued to the racing line and I'm losing traction no matter what I'll sometimes turn on the Traction Control assist and the like. Normally though the only one I leave on for the most part is ABS. If your serious about racing and racing good be sure to tweak these settings. and Enjoy the masterpiece that is Forza. * smile *

haha. One thing I don't like is that you have to start with the crap cars for so long. My Silvia is kicking ass but damnit I just want to earn enough money to buy my Z and max out the mods on it. Then I'd be content to just tool around in that for the rest of the game. * smile *

Question: The "class" of car is confusing to me. I'm like a D298 or something. Each time I mod my # goes up (it started at like D202) and I think I remember reading/hearing that as soon as I hit the next level...in this case 300...I will jump a grade to class C (or E?). And then things will get more difficult or I won't be eiligible for earlier events. Can someone please explain this class thing? Am I understanding this right? Thanks.

I don't understand why people I talk to seem to have trouble earning money. It was no problem for me. I just raced in the lower classes and earned money at a pretty good rate. Are you playing with most assist off? Are you playing with the A.I at least set to Medium? Please tell me you don't have the guide arrow on... All those things affect how much money you make. The harder you make the game (more realistic) the more you earn.

As for being stuck in the lower classes and just wanting your Z... Ah what the heck... Next time you log in. Check your Messages and recieve your gift. congrats. You now have the Z. Merry Christmas ans enjoy. =)
(I was going to give you both North American Version and Asian Version. But apparently the 2007 model one I am unable to gift because it says it's a Exclusive car and not gift-able... so I'm sorry about that one. =( )

When you upgrade your car the P.I (Performance index) changes. each class has a limit of P.I before you move on to the next class. So if you need your car in a D class and you max the sucker out too high (Give it to much HP) then it will go up to the next class and you will be unable to race in the lower classes. However all is not lost. Any mods you make to the car you can go back and just select the Stock items and re-equip those. And you also don't lose the upgrades, you can just go re-equip those again later. Just don't sell the parts. When you sell them you obviously can't use them again until you buy them back. Selling is good if you've modded your car to a level you are sure you want to keep (Say sports) and you can sell all your "Street" mods.

So remember. If you mod your car up too high and it switches class just take off the most recent mods and your back lower again. You can balance it out to see which max mods you can have before it switches you up a class. Things that usually boost your car up in the P.I are things that increase your HP and Tires. If you just remove a tire upgrade it can lower you a whole class. But of course lowering tires upgrades is not a good idea. As you no doubt know it is one of the most important upgrades ever. Too much power in your care and lame ass stock Tires on your car and your likely to be all over the road or braking to much to get good times.

If that isn't really clear on the classes or your questions let me know and i'll try to explain it better. Right now it's early Christmas morning so that is my excuse if I'm not making much sense or being very clear. (Can't really explain all the other 364 days I make no sense though.. * raspberry * )

Thanks. But it really isn't a problem. He really would like to use the Z and I know how it can be having to use crappity slow ass cars until you can afford better. Though I am far away from beating the game I still currently (Unless I end up having to make huge purchases) have quite a bit of money in the game. What? Where the hell did the car go?? Damn servers! I hate how screwed up crap is getting on Live lately. * angry *

Are you sure you checked your messages in the online section? I don't think it will throw it up in your face. You have to go to your online section and Receive your gift. Ahh hell I hope it's not cause your a Silver Member... that would be totally screwed up. Let me look into that.

I wish I would have come back and seen this topic earlier.. You should have messaged me online (Xbox). I would have sent you another one. I'll go into the game and send another one. No marketplace wont do anything if you mean from the Dashboard.

You have to go into the game and let it load your file. When your in the menu instead of going to Career you need to go to online stuff. That is if you don't get a message in the top corner. If that makes a audio sound or is blinking I think you can press right bumper or something. Either way you can go to the online section in the game. (If it's not disabled for you cause your silver). There should be something stating you got a Gift Car and to receive it and accept it or whatever. Like I said I'll send another one. If it doesn't go through then catch me when I'm online and we can try it then.

Multiplayer wise, I've been playing Halo 3, Gears of War, and Lost Planet. Whenever my friend comes over he usually brings Rock Band, which is a million times better than Guitar Hero.

And, Assassin's Creed is in the mail from Goozex. Too many games.
