I thought Facebreakers was just another button masher; except this one looks like you can put your own face on the boxer if you have a camera.

Alone in the Dark is (so far) the biggest disappointment I've played this year. |

Yeah, it did look promising, but got terrible reviews by critics (and gamers alike). I won't even bother trying with that kind of consensus. |

i'd imagine it will probably be around 10 hours long. Most games in this genre are.

The NHL 09 demo is exclusive to the PS3 for now, as the NHL 2K9 demo is exclusive to the 360. Lame, lame, lame.

The last 2 EA hockey games were awesome. In fact they change the way Hockey games were played on consoles. EA for once, took a chance, and it really paid off. Before NHL 07, I was pro 2K. I'm now all EA sports.

well of course EA has better football games, they don't legally have competition anymore. I still think ESPN 2K5 owns every and all football games.

If it still uses the caveman controls, it still won't appeal to me.

Caveman controls!

It's true! I love what EA did, putting the majority of controls on the right analog. Gave the game a fresh feeling, after 14 or so years.

The controls where you use the left analog to move, and X, Y,A, B to shoot/hit/pass/deke/protect the puck

Just out of curiosity, why?
I haven't played it yet, but I was watching a guy play it while I was at work today, and I really wasn't impressed. Looked really generic other then the physics with the Force stuff.
Plus, a T rating, fudge that. This is supposed to be like the truest Jedi experience you can have, but my lightsaber still takes like 4 hits to kill a stormtrooper and I don't get blood or limbs flying or anything.
I dunno man. |

I thought the demo was really fun and it's only a taste of what the full game is. It would be more realistic if you killed guy with one hit with your lightsaber but it would also be stupidly easy. So it's obvious why they didn't do that. The beginning moves you can do with the apprentice are pretty badass and they get upgraded as your progress through the game and level. Graphics are great, physics are great, story seems great, gameplay is great, what else could you want. Only complaint I had was a slight camera issue but that is nearly negligible. So far from what I've seen from the demo, it's probably going to be one of the best action games I've ever played, right next to Ninja Gaiden.

None of it seemed "great" to me.
As an action game, it seemed subpar compared to things like NGII and DMCIV.
Even with the lightsaber, obviously it wouldn't be fun if it killed everything in one hit, but at least have some limbs flying and stuff. I'll have to play it for myself to get the full taste I guess, but I watched the dude play for quite awhile and never really saw anything that made me go "Wow, I'm paying full price!" |

I disagree, I had more fun with the demo of Force Unleashed than I did with the full versions of NG2 and DMCIV. The use of force powers is so badass, and in my opinion cooler than anything you could do in those two other games.

I mean cutting off your enemies limbs and crap is bad ass and all but you can't beat the satisfaction you get from picking up your opponent, levitating him 50 feet in the air, throw some force lightning at him, and finish him off by throwing your lightsaber into his chest or charging up a force push that shoots him 200ft away.

I'm with Jin on this one. I'm still skeptical about the length of the game. Hopefully, it'll have replay value. |
