Hey is anyone else picking this up... im a big mtg fan and if u want to play u can hit me up... also if anyone gets it and is not interested in the promo card that comes with it i would love to get my hands on some cause its one of my favorite cards to play! It was released yesterday but an error as a result of the 24 hour maintenance prevented anyone from downloading it. Has it been fixed? Also, how do you get a promo card? I'm interested in checking it out. Recently a buddy and I got our old decks out and started playing again.

I keep trying to get the demo and it still won't download. I'm likely going to buy this, I haven't played Magic in over 10 years though.

It finally worked for me after an entire day of trying. Pretty fun. Still not used to the turn timer though.

For those that have played it, are all cards available from the beginning to build a deck or do you have to unlock them along the way like older card game videogames (Pokemon TCG, Yu-Gi-Oh)?

I'll admit it....I played M:tG for about a 6 month period of my life in highschool. If I could just make a deck and play against people online id be all over this. Is there an option to do such a thing in this game, or is it more of an adventure/rpg sort of deal?

I got it, but it keeps saying my code for the bonus card cant be generated......

You start with a red and green deck. You have to unlock more decks and extra cards for each one.

yeah its pretty sweet... the code generator hasnt given me a code for my free card it keeps saying that i need to retry...its def fun for the 800 point tag but id be a little upset if i couldnt get that garruk

I just bought it and it gave me a code upon startup. I'm trying to enter it now but the page is a little slow.

update: While I have the code, it's not accepting it online. Says it's not a valid code. Verified with the generator, it's correct.

Fudge, first Live is all fudgeed, and now this crap is broken. What the fudge is wrong with the companies now, they can't get their crap together

Sorry if im beating a dead horse here, but I cant seem to find out any real details about this game online - anyone know if you can get to a point where you've unlocked all the cards and can just assemble a deck of your choosing? Also, which expansions are included in this game?

the cards are from invasion to shards of alara but not full sets, as for full custimization i believe its a no.... there are 8 different decks that you can unlock and an aditional amount of cards you can unlock for each said deck but so far with what ive played u can not take out cards just add the extras

I assume that this is the way the whole game goes as to make it easier to run and easier for people who arent magic attuned to play. As well for the 10 dollar price range you cant really expect wizards to have a full deck editor online... Hopefully they add in that feature in the future though..

Yeah I don't know then either myself. The demo is still downloading. I find it odd you can only slightly modify decks and not create your own. That really sucks.

edit: Is the card that's given out a real, physical card? If so, $10 just to get it and resell it would be worth it.

Yes it was...

I love it...but my real dog is there were a couple times that I wanted to regenerate or cast an instant and I couldn't figure it out. The timer is a good system to allow for instants, but I can't figure it out during combat. Like to cast Giant Growth on a creature after blockers are declared is a mystery to me.

rayzor6 - if you hit hte X button it stops the timer, and yo ushould be able to choose whatever cards you want to play.

I'll have to look as it doesn't seem to give me that option during combat. I see it every other time during different phases, but not during combat.

rayzor after the declaration of blockers a little timer will form around your characters face and you should be able to stop the timer to play an instant or to use an ability of a card

FF if you need a garruk we have about 16 lol.... If anyone is seriously interested about getting into paper magic i have a collection of type 2 stuff that could easily open a store so let me know

Thanks Pelle...I did figure it out after a playing a few times.

I haven't played for probably about 10 years now....I forgot how hard it is to play single color against single color. The first black deck in campaign is horrible when you are playing the green one and they have fear creatures, vampires (before you draw a spider) and THE RACK!!!! It took me like 3 times!

My collection is combined with a friend and we currently do not have much of a wanted list... we are alwasy looking for power cards but dont really need need anything.... why dont you pm me a list or you can post in my magic singles forum and i will see what we can dig up for you and i will figure something out :)

I'll just pass. I have so many cards that typing up a list would take me a year.

Unless you mean you want to see my want list, that's a possibility since it's pretty small and consists solely of newer cards.

Yup. Those games are almost all in my inventory if I didn't sell them yet.
