I got to thinking about old platformers... no one really does care about these old games, do they? I mean, shooters have their followers, fighters have their niche, etc... but everybody took platformers for granted, because there were so many of them. Anyone else know of any interesting ones? A few off the top of my head...
Psychic World (Game Gear)
This is a pretty odd game, honestly, I never played this one past the first few levels but it has some interesting ideas in it, and such a nice theme song, too. It reminds me of Cave Story for some reason.

Legendary Axe
This game has a lot of feeling... but I'm not sure how much of that has to do with the great soundtrack. I don't know how the second game could screw up the formula so bad.

Well, when you're young things like this make a bigger impression than they should.
I think the worst platformer I ever played was "Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends" . It's so bad it makes NES Last Ninja look like Sonic 3. And I actually beat this game once.
I should have lobbied for better games as a kid.

Back in the day I actually owned Awesome Possum.

I got Awesome Possum and Impossamole mixed up.
Impossamole might've been Awesome's crapty cousin or something.

That's like saying you had the craps but it wasn't that bad. The craps is the craps, it still stinks and makes a gosh darn mess out of your fudgein' toilet.

Some craps are worse than others, though.

When I was little, I ate a tube of my mom's green frosting.
Lets just say it frosted my insides.

Sack of Flour. NES homebrew designed by a group of students at Carniege Mellon (I think).
