Burnout is already registered to 5 people, I wasn't saying you could get it, just that this group won't be able to get it again. The EyeToy games are only registered to two people, so I'm trying to get a damn buck to sell the remaining 3 registrations for each!

You do not understand gamesharing correctly. It has nothing to do with the games, it is per account. The account can be registered on 5 machines. The games must always be shared with those 5 machines. it is NOT per game.

i am typing this verbatim because it's up on my screen right now.
this is how it works, and even how it says it works in the stickied post at the top of this group.
gameshares are per account, not per game. i am locked out because you reused an old account.
all of those old members can log in (assuming they have the password) and dl the content. I can't. |

kilter obviously can't get in for these, he'll need to be refunded
iJohn is also out his Burnout since he won't be able to get in.
We need a specific profile this group.

wait - i just read the stickied post again - it is absolutely incorrect and is not how gamesharing works. It is per account. The stickied post at the top of this particular forum is wrong. |

Yeah we really need to fix that. We tested it with this group and kaosu, but I didn't realize that iJohn still hadn't paid so the only reason it worked is that iJohn was never in the account to begin with.

So...
1. kaosu refunds kilter
2. kaosu makes a new group for next week
3. kaosu gets iJohn's Burnout (And pays Iced $6.50?)
4. People can chip in a tiny bit more with the next payment to offset kaosu's $6 forced Burnout purchase?
5. Iced, amir, and Yazzinit get the 3 EyeToy games already in the account as my lovely gift to them for being a part of the experimental mess up

if you're not one of the first 5 to activate their accounts (and it sounds like you're not) then you're not part of the current group that has burnout, lumines, etc. and will need to be refunded.

kilter, certainly understandable, I think you were one of the main deciders for this weeks packs. The original intent was to start a new group, myself and default made an error at the last minute. I've missed your posts, I tried to look around but most of my info was mixed with the misinformation in there. A new account will be created (I already created the email to get it going earlier today pre-fudge up).

since the account you're using now is already going to have issues (since not all 5 people wanted to be in the 'eternal' group), you're best off starting a new account anyway. i'd like to still be in that one. |

ah, you edited this - so responding again:
everything above makes sense, unless kaosu doesn't want Burnout, in which case it's not fair to make him pay for it.
#5 is correct - forced generousity, grin. there is no point in them not dl'ing them, unless they don't have an eyetoy.

Well I figured everyone can chip in a buck or something for kaosu for Burnout. I believe he already has the disc, but hey, everyone's getting the EyeToy games I blew $6 on for the test (If anyone actually has an EyeToy, heh)

that would be between you and whoever is in group two.
if i understand everything correctly, group one (starting next round) is:
1. lordkaosu (downloader, not taxed)
2. DefaultGen
3. Iced
4. Yazzinit
5. kilter
the 'captain' of a group should live in a tax free state. for example, neither kaosu or i are taxed due to the states we live in, so either of us make good 'buyers' in gameshares.

iJohn, I'd recommend starting a new thread for your new group so it's not buried in here. New people wanting to join won't see it.
I'd say instead of sending me a little bit extra for Burnout, we just call it even. I'm out a users payments anyway as it stands since kilter didn't get his stuff. I don't really need the game since I have the disc already. We can just move on as lesson learned unless someone wants compensation. Default is out his testing fees so far too. Next round will be smoother at least...

kaosu, if you haven't issued the refund yet (i haven't checked) don't bother. might as well keep it as a downpayment for future shares. I almost paypal'd you $15 anyway.
To that end, we'd all save a little bit of money if we established a general 'budget' for the group. For example, my previous suggestion was $7 per person ($7.52 after fees), per month (though we could change that, it's just a suggestion). That makes for $35 a month, which is 3 and a half $9.99 games (so, 7 every two months) or 2 $9.99 games and one $14.99 game per month. That would probably cover most of the games we wanted, and we could always decide to up it on a month where there are tons of good releases.
The biggest benefit is that we save money. paypal charges a flat fee plus a % per transaction, so we save a bit. If you did $7.52 upfront (7 after fees), you'd be saving 60 cents over doing 3 games individually.
Of course, some months there might not be 3 games worth getting - in that case, we 'save' that money and will have a bigger budget the next month.
We could also decide to raise the budget some, though I don't think we need to raise it too much. There are a lot of cool games coming out on PSN, but not *that* many. |

I thought you were in that group and downloaded it already >.< You don't have a profile on your HDD for that group yet?
The only people that had the username/pass were the 4 members and kaosu (for testing). I don't think iJohn ever got the password because he paid too late or something. Check with XxarmirxX to see if he gave the password to iJohn and something happened that way.
