Prey {360} 8/10
Is this running on the Doom 3 engine? Looks really similar. |

I have a question, i wanted to play Dues Ex and im waiting to get the Orange Box for all the HL stuff, but should i get Dues Ex for the Ps2, it's pretty cheap to get nowadays, but i dont know how good it is, i think it's gotten really good reviews in the past |

I like the PS2 version better than the PC version, its an amazing game. Everyone that owns a PC or a PS2 should play it.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3)- 9/10 Oh man is this game awesome! The game looks freaking amazing and I love how easy it is to just pick up and play. Only complaint is it's a little short, but you could say that about a lot of games now days. If you own a PS3, please buy this awesome game!
Currently Playing: Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3), Clive Barker's Jericho (PS3) |

Ok that should be good enough, plus it wont cost me more than $10 max, so i wont lose much is i happened not to like it much, plus the reviews say it's the crap, well ok it's gonna be my 4th game bought this year...man that's sad, and thing is the other 3 games were almost as old and cheap and came off eBay...i need money, i hope i get the job i applied for at our new starbucks |

I never played the console version, but the PC version is outstanding--should run great nowadays, too, with more detail than you'll likely find on the PS2 version, and (of course) mouse and keyboard control.

yeah, my PC set-up is so uncomfortable i cant be on the computer more than an hour before standing up and taking a break, let alone play a game on it, and i wont always have access to it, and considering that because of this im kind of turned off on PC gaming because im not used to it, i'll have no choice but to go with the console version, but ive heard like with Half-Life that when it got ported to the Xbox it got alot worse due to controls, so there's that... |

| | #177 posted November 19, 2007 at 5:13pm (EST) |
The only reason I prefer the PS2 version is because there are so many controls for Deus Ex that its nice to have them all on a controller(mapping them to your liking on a keyboard/mouse gets a little ridiculous). The PC version obviously looks way better.

Ive mastered dual analog, so im pretty comfortable using it for anything, and since i dont play PC games i dont know any other control, on a side note has anyone played Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria? I got it in a trade for Radiata Stories and i never popped it in yet, and im sluggish on starting RPG's i dont know are great or not |

It's really great, the gameplay has a lot of action unlike most RPGs. If its already opened you should pop it in and check it out. One of the better PS2 RPGs.

Yeah, well i actually am on the last stage on VP 1 on the psp, and i couldnt find the time to finish it yet...i do that alot with rpg's like DQVIII, i was about to beat that too but havent played it in like a year, well i guess i'll start it after getting thru with Lenneth |

I do the same thing, RPGs should be shorter. Any kind of gameplay after 40+ hours just gets fudging boring as hell.

Well, FFX pulled me to the rpg world, but i hardly finished any rpg's...not even FFX i have started it over alot though, random battles just plain suck ass to me...i havent beat Xenosaga or Star Ocean III or Suikoden III, i did beat Radiata Stories for some reason, but i plan to beat them all eventually, but 1/3 of them will seem like a workload, all games i mentioned besides Star Ocean III i am at the closing stages of the game, i dont know why i just stop after being so close |

I too love FFX. I think I've beaten it twice and started it a few more times.
The only other RPGs I've done that for are FFVII, KH, and Paper Mario.
Where do you stop everytime MM? The Calm Lands? If so, it seemed like the game expected people to stop playing at that point when it referenced the large number of summoners that reached the Calm Lands then strayed from their journey.

Same here and I'm a RPG whore Last time I beat a console RPG was with FFVII two years ago for the 5th or 6th time. I've started up so many since then but just couldn't find the time or interest to continue. I think the only games that really hold my attention anymore are FPS's and Castlevania's (2D only)

I've beaten it three times, I think. It saddens me seeing people hating on it, sometimes. It's one of my favorite from the series. |

All Pro Football 2K8 7/10
I want to like it a lot, it delivers on the presentation, play animations look so much better then Madden, commentary is better and the replays and halftime show are great. The gameplay is solid, but alas, I have been assimilated into the Madden Nation now. When I play a football game, I want to play as a team I know with realy players I know.
Sure, I get to choose legends in APF, but you only get two big timers, a few semi big guys and then a bunch of guys that played in the NFL, but they aren't really that famous. You can't even make an all star team to mess around with or something, lame.
Plus, I'm just so used to Madden gameplay, I suck at this game. I can't defend crap and I keep losing games to huge runs and long bomb passes, it pisses me off. |

I just hate most of the characters, the gameplay itself is the best in the series.

The only characters I liked in FFX were Auron and the man-cat thing. Sin was an awesome villain though. |
