Marvel vs Capcom 2 (Xbox) - 9/10
I actually like it better than the low-res DC version. |

Jesus AlterEgo, the humour was anything but terrible.
Seeing as how you're quite literally the only one that thinks that it is, I would definately question your judgement. |

I would question his sense of humor; his judgment has been flawed for years.

What do you mean by "low-res"? The DC version supports 480p. Is the Xbox version 720p or something?

While the DC version may display 480p as well, j_factor, if he is playing it on the 360 it is displayed in 720p, and in true 720p, unlike the PS3's upscaling.

I couldn't care less about fighters, but how in the hell did the PS2 version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 get an 8.4 and the same port from the Xbox get a 3.9 O_o

Now that is quite interesting, AlphakirA. Personally, I like the PS2's controller better than the X-box/360's, so maybe that brought down the score? Still, it shouldn't be that drastic of a decline in its score.

the d-pad alone on the PS2 makes it a better controller than the xbox/360 one, but I can't see it dropping the score that drastically

I didn't even know MvC2 was BC. News to me.

you can question his judgment on anything because he's wrong about stuff 99.9% percent of the time.

Well I have both the DC and Xbox versions and the only difference I can tell is that the character sprites in the DC version are smaller, and that the Xbox version has a built-in command list. |

Sin and Punishment - 7/10 - I only played some of the single player... but the controls are kind of crappy. Maybe I'll try the Classic Controller. Kinda reminds me of gunstar heroes. |

Its a third person on-rails shooter but the movement and jumping (to evade) is kind of weird until you get used to the controls.

It's kinda like Star Fox 64 (without ships)... there are slight platforming elements. |

Psychonauts (Xbox) - 10/10 - Ladies and Gentlemen, please meet my #1 game of all time. That one complete bullcrap level at the end wasn't enough to tarnish this otherwise phenominal game. |

Yeah but less games support it. On PS2, only a handful of games supported 480p. Xbox has more (and a few with 720p or 1080i), but also a very large number of games (possibly the majority) that don't. Like 95% of Dreamcast games support 480p.
Of course, it's better if you have a 360 (if the game is on the BC list) or the right model of PS3 (upscaling). But even then, native 480p might be better than upscaled. I'm not positive how they compare though. It would be interesting to compare a game like Headhunter or Ecco on DC in 480p to the PS2 version upscaled.
As a side note, I'm pretty sure you could buy a DC VGA cable almost anywhere, back in the day. Maybe not the Sega one, but there were lots of third-party ones.

Half-Life probably is about a 7/10 rated today against other games of today. That's how great it still is. When it came out it was easily a 9.5/10.

Its slightly better than Bioshock, thats how great Bioshock is.
By your way of thinking Mario 3 and Zelda: aLttP are 7/10s compared to newer games. Half-Life is just as classic and did more for it's genre than any other game in any other genre.

right, but for someone who never played Mario 3 and were to pick it up and play it compared to say Jak & Daxter, it may very well feel like a 7/10 to them (and i still never played Mario3). i'm not saying that Half-Life wasn't revolutionary. But it has been out done now, by several games, including Bioshock and Half-Life 2.
