Better than FIFA 08, but a lot slower. Captain your country mode is sweet though, especially since you can play it with others.

Your personal rating scale needs a serious overhaul if 9/10 is "Above Average"

So 9/10 is below average for you?

Just beat Bioshock (nearly a 10/10 for me), God this game is amazing. I'll definitely be picking this up again for PS3 once they announce what new content will be included. Only beef I had was the ending, it could've been a tad longer considering how much time you put into the game

9/10 is extraordinary, revolutionary, excellent, fantastic, groundbreaking. 6/10 is 'above average'

6/10 would likely be below the average, IMO. 7/10 or 8/10 would likely be average. 9/10 definitely ain't below average, though, lol.

5/10 ain't an average score for a game, though; a typical game is likely rated in the 7s or so, IMO. A game that's rated as 5/10 is generally below average.

The problem is that these days the average game is a 7-8/10 game

Clubhouse Games (DS) - 8/10 - The only thing I don't like about it is that you have no choice sometimes (like when playing Checkers, the game forces you to take the opponent's piece instead of making another move). |

CoD4 - 8.5/10 - Only bothered with single player. Absolutely fantastic but really damn short (Beat it in one sitting...) and the action wanes a little bit towards the end (I don't know, maybe the initial wow wore off). The sound went from "Ok, that was kind of annoying that he said that already" to "I can't believe that voice was used again." I had a few problems with voice over repetition and a bit of choppiness. (ENEMY... on the left flank).
I could list 100 things this game excels at but everyone's played it and you all know. I'm just late because I didn't realize how well my old PC could run the damn game. I though it would be a slideshow but it looks and runs amazingly.

Here's the problem with "average". "Average" as in the mean, median, or mode (yes, I remember 8th grade math!) of all scores given would likely be around 7. But "average" as in the average quality of all games is closer to 5. A lot of really crapty shovelware and obscure crap games don't get reviewed, or get reviewed by very few outlets. So the average review score given is higher than it would be if every single game got an equal number of reviews.

No wayz, Dubbers; I'da never thunk it. Thanks for pointing that out .
Still, looking at game scores in general, 5/10 ain't an average game. Doesn't really matter to me, I don't even rate games nowadays, just put down my opinion, scores make it too easy for people to be lazy and base their opinion ONLY on a score instead of taking their time to read a more thorough critique, which is better than a simple number anyway. So some people don't have a rating system at all .

It all depends on how you look at it. Some would see a 5/10 as not good, but not bad. Right there in the middle, average. Others could say 5/10 is bad because it's also equivalent to 50%, an F. If they viewed it as the latter, then average would be more like a 7/10 (C).

Because they wanted to change up the formula and try something new.

RCT2 was disappointing I guess. I don't know, I just expected more, so it loses a . It's the exact same game, but should've been an expansion pack! I need my classic RCT scenarios since they hold more nostalgia than the RCT2 ones Blehh RCT3.
GTA4:
Graphics - 8/10 (Horrid pop in... wtf?)
Sound - 9.5/10 (Very few issues here...)
Gameplay - 7/10 (Repetitive. Once the initial "OMG AWESOME" factor wears off... it's just a drag. Smaller world/amt of activities is disappointing too. The story is good.)
Overall - 8/10
I don't see how anyone can call this game perfect. Every mission is the same There's nothing revolutionary about it. It looks great and sounds fantastic... but it's missing the consistent "holy crap" state that GTA3 always had me in.

I can understand that, but that shouldn't detract from RCT2's score. In fact, if you look at the added features, it gives it like another 0.5 higher score.
