The word searches are my favorite part of this. The crosswords part is better in the NY Times game though.

Once you unlock the hard puzzles you get some good ones - it takes way too long to do that though.

I haven't played any of Kenta Cho's games, this was to be a sort of introduction. Tumiki Fighters and three other Cho games are unlockable, I imagine they're all better (ignoring the creation aspect of Blast Works, of course).

Fight Night Round 3 - 9/10
Just got this again in a trade, still one of my favorites on the 360. Great gameplay, everything is nearly perfect. I'm still really impressed with the graphics too. This is an early 360 game and it still competes with some of the best that are out today. I can't wait for Round 4. |

Only played a couple levels of this so far and haven't even touched the multi-player yet but it's cool. Definitely worth the hype it got so far. Graphics are sick. |

Defeated a few games recently.(all 360)
Mass Effect - 8/10. It's good, but when you don't do alot of sidequests it is a very shot game.(took me 12 hours to finish)
Prey - 7/10. This game plays great, controls are top notch. But the story sucked. I played on normal, and it was easy as hell.
Assassin's Creed - 8.5/10. Yes, it gets a great score. I really enjoyed this game. Controls can get annoying at times, and sometimes, you'll hate the game.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP) - 9/10
I have this in my PSP while on vacation right now with the original intent on not really playing it. But I started it on the plane. I'm surprised, I actually like it because I don't really play RPGs and I have no idea what's going on in the story because I know next to nothing about the FFVII universe. However, its the battle system that is keeping me hooked. I like having control over when I attack and also dodging. The "Best" system is nice to for RPG amateurs where it will choose the best combination for offense or defense based on the items and abilities you currently have. I'm having a ton of fun with this game.

Totally agree. This is prob the best game of this gen I've played so far. The ending was acceptable but wow it's literally grab-a-beer-from-the-fridge-what?-I-missed-it? short. I plan on getting it again on PS3 just to replay it. I've never been so drawn into a game world before.

Absolutely, the game in any other setting probably would've been just mediocre. It's definitely a game built on the personality of itself rather than the overall gameplay, graphics, etc.

On the PC it probably has the speediest, most intense gameplay since Doom first came out(Doom's initial impact compared to Bioshock's). Definitely more action-oriented than most modern FPSs and does it very, very well. I think any confined space would of worked just fine. Obviously open areas wouldnt of accomodated it's gameplay style.
Personally, I think it's flawless graphically and will age better than most(if not all) in it's genre.
P.S. the ending(s) should not of been FMVs, but should fo been created using the game engine. The creators said those endings were just tacked on because consumers like multiple endings.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (PSP) 9.5 (would have been a 10 for me but little to easy & very linear)
Im also currently playing this, i think im close to the end dont want it to since i kind of know what happens to main character (but will finally play FF7 as soon as i finish this). Love the action oriented combat, makes battles more fast paced. Wish game was a bit harder though and had more exploration (if only it had a world map to explore), it is very linear (unless you do the side missions but even they are linear). You got to love the characters (for ppl that have played 7 you get to see younger versions of some of your favorites Cloud, Tifa, Aerith & Sephiroth). Love the way story builds up for 7, How Shinra became so dominant, Jenova Project, How Cloud came upon Buster Sword, Aerith flower wagon etc... Overall excellent game.

Yeah like I said I have no idea about the story line. For someone that doesn't like to play RPGs I like the linear layout and easier combat. Makes it more fun for me lol.

Zelda puts me to sleep!
I'm not a fan of adventure games. You just wander around doing this or that for some dude so you can get some key or whatever and then fight some demons using a battle system that isn't remotely challenging. I feel like there's a text box that I need to read every two-three minutes. There's no challenge and gameplay is interrupted too often (and if it wasn't, it would still be a bit dull).
Fired up Contra: Shattered Soldier last night for the first time in years. Now there's a game. . .

$11.99 for me too but it's called "Guitar Hero III" not whatever you called it before.
But $12 for a cell phone game is still insane, wow. Still, probably money better spent than the $8 I blew on Oblivion. Oh god what a terrible mobile game.

Culdcept Saga - 8/10
I'm mildly addicted to getting new cards, and its a super casual laid back game (aside from all the rules) which I like. I'd recommend this game even if you aren't big on cards games if you want a fresh fantasy tactical rpg.
MGS 4 - 9.5/10
I would have given this game a 10 but MGO sucks. |

Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation - 8.5/10
You know, this one's actually pretty damn good. I'm sure at the time it really felt like the series was getting stale. And still having "tiles" feels old-fashioned for a Dreamcast game. But this is still way, way better than Tomb Raider 3 or Chronicles. The level design is stellar and all the little touches they've added really benefit the gameplay. Being on DC also really helps the graphics, as the first 3 are kind of eyesores (at least the console versions).
