Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII (PSP) 9/10. Just finished this game a couple of mins and loved it (starting FF7 later today, i have never finished it got to 2nd disc but this time plan to ). Visuals are very impressive some of the best i seen on Psp so far, Music is good to the ears, Combat can be repetitive but liked the way made battles quicker & materia are back from FF7 along with Materia Fusion. Excellent way to start FF7 introduces a lot of characters such as Sephiroth, Cloud, Yuffie, Tifa, Aerith along with others, shows you how cloud came upon Buster Sword. Have two issues with game: Could have been more challenging and less linear. Other than that loved every min of it put 23 hrs into it and finished half of the Missions (plan to do rest later on). Ending was well done sad but well done. Overall highly recommend it.

Far Cry - 8/10 - I suppose I'm a little past halfway now. The AI is fantastic. Despite funny walking animation, they don't see you through scenery like in most games! (Yes, in today's gaming scene, that's all it takes for me to call your AI fantastic) Somehow I feel sniping is more balanced than just about any single player game I've ever played. Enemies will find where I am and shoot me, regardless of how far away I am, whereas in most other games they sit around like idiots, or run towards me. Trigens suck, perhaps the worst part of the game. With such good human enemies in the game, I don't know why they ruined it by adding enemies that instantly melee you to death. Oh well, at least most of them turned into gun wielding whatevers so they don't just rush towards me and kill me anymore. I was expecting the game to be more massive in scope, but I enjoy linear games so that's a good thing really (It feels no less linear than Half-Life). Graphics are pretty damn good, and the best part of the game I'll say is the difficulty. I die often, but I don't get frustrated by it. The game isn't terribly difficult, and it isn't a cakewalk. They really nailed it.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 - 7/10 - The gameplay is very deep, I'm sure people who are interested in soccer like this as much as football fans like madden (probably more). But I guess I was hoping for it to be more fun to just pick up and play unfortunately the learning curve is way steep. And the thing is if you aren't decent at it, the game is zero fun. |

Crush (PSP) - 7/10
Really fun and addicting except there's no progression in the difficulty, so it goes from really easy to really hard real early in the game.

Alone In The Dark {Wii} 4/10
Despite the crappy controls I managed to make it to the beginning of the 9th chapter (there are 10 total) but I refuse to continue playing anymore. The driving segments are horrible.

The story and voice acting is basic and cheesy, but damn if it isn't a ton of fast paced fun. Lots of replay too with extra challenges and unlockables.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - 8/10 - It starts off and is 100% OMG...but then as you progress you encounter some of the worst storytelling in any game ever. The story is interesting but it's told so poorly that for me it killed all momentum and interest. The gameplay is fun, the levels are good, the enemies are almost all women(?...never quite understood that one..or maybe all men scream like girls when shot...I dunno) and the level of polish on this is quite nice. But the way the story plays out is so lame it made me not like this overall experience. Why does Dreben the gun runner explain to me via a static picture and subtitles the history of each boss AFTER I beat them? It simply doesn't make any sense other than to pad the story.
And making Raiden a badass does not excuse his lame personality in MGS2. |

Ninja Gaiden Black (Xbox) - 8.75/10 - Smooth graphics and fun gameplay. If there was a game made for sufferers of ADD, this is it. While the controls feel spot on most of the time, there are a few instances when it wouldn't register exactly what I told it to. Oh yeah, the camera sucks a big, fat cockcicle. |

In SMW/SMB3 Luigi could jump higher but had less traction, it's a difference that made him atleast unique |

Eh, not really. I breezed through the game in about a week. Most levels you could get the coins on the second playthrough without breaking a sweat.

Lode Runner: The Legend Returns (Saturn, JP) - excellent game with a very fair difficulty curve. Lode Runner will always be a classic, and the inclusion of a level editor makes this one even better. 10 out of 10
Lode Runner Extra (Saturn, JP) - This game is the devil. Imagine you used the level editor in The Legend Returns to create the most sadistic hardcore aggravatingly controller-smashing difficult level possible. Then multiply that difficulty times ten and imagine an entire game filled with such levels. Truly a game for the hardest of the hardcore. 11 (eleven, not a typo) out of 10
If you've got a playstation, they got released in the US on one disc, and you can probably get it cheap. But as I always say, "Plays Best on Sega."

Well, as the GBA ones introduced something newer as a newer system, the DS should have done something to that effect. It's like not really that much of a reward, but it's really not THAT big of a deal to me either, so it's kinda trivial |
