2 quickies.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon - 8/10 - I usually don't like Fire Emblem games too much.. this one seems OK for some reason so far. I like mid-battle save points which help.
Prinny: Can I really be a hero? - 9/10 - Ok, it's a really good platformer. It has a lot of charm and it's pretty tough. ;) I wish there'd be more 2D platformers. Only complaint is that some of the music is annoying. |

Noby Noby Boy - ???/10 - ???????????
???????? ??? ????
?????????????????????????????
Edit:
Ok I've been playing this game a bit now, and while I haven't "beaten" it yet (I have all the trophies but The Prince, which is supposedly the hardest one to get since he randomly spawns) I've probably seen most of what the game has to offer. It's absolutely INSANE. The first few times I booted it up I could not stop laughing at some of the crazy crap going on. There's no point, it's insane, it has a couple good trophies to shoot for (which give the game somewhat of a purpose).
I have to say this game is equally as good as flower, and equally as progressive. PSN has already had Linger In Shadows... which was pretty bad and short lived, but I really hope we see more stuff like Noby Noby Boy and flower.

Stranglehold ( ) - 8.5/10
Not the best controls in the world, and multiplayer completely blows. But damn if the single player campaign isn't spot-on John Woo, and more importantly, ridiculously fun! |

I play Ghost Squad regularly at the arcade in between games of DDR. It is better on Wii. Find me a Ghost Squad machine with 0% burn in and perfectly accurate light guns.

How did you find Ghost Squad terrible? I thought it is one of the better light-gun style shooters on the system. I liked the different paths you can take to complete the levels, it adds some replay value. I've never played the arcade version.

And it was in reference to Colon who I know lives on the island with me - not necessarily to the people reading the reviews (though there is 4 in PA).
Colon, next time you're on the L.I.E., take exit 56 and turn onto Vets Hwy. Right by the WalMart over there there's a D&B. Check it out and thank me later. |

Dave and Busters They have most larger arcade games and modern releases.

My local arcade has been around since the 80s (!). Small, but almost nothing but dedicated (i.e. "hardcore") players. Plenty of fighters (MvC2, GGX, 3rd Strike, SFIV, some weird new fighter) and Bemani machines in addition to a lightgun game (HotD 4 currently) and a bunch of less popular machines. And pool tables. Old school to the bone. |

OT: Street Fighter IV - A worthy sequel to 3rd Strike; perhaps better? Need more time with it. A+ title in any case. |

The market sucks for running an arcade but is great if you just want to purchase some cabinets for your basement

Mass Effect - 9/10 - Wow, I can't believe I'm at the end of this game already. Someone told me KotOR times 10 in terms of scope and I guess I took that too literally. I have about 100 side quests to complete so I'm sure that will take up my time The combat is fun, but I wish the loot table was a bit more expansive. I feel like I'm just upgrading numbers... Med Upgrade VI to Med Upgrade VII bleh, I like finding unique items! Dialogue works well, although I really don't like the good/bad system. Sometimes I'll say something and earn like +10 paragon but then I'll need more renegade so I'll be a total douche to someone and get nothing for it I'm going through as good the first time since I'm a bit scared to kill NPCs that might give me quests, I can imagine myself going through the game a couple times though. Even though I haven't seen the end, I'd place it just a notch under KotOR in my book.

If you're getting mostly Paragon points, why would you want to turn around and be a Renegade?
If you're getting no Renegade points, it means you're not being a douche at the right times.

Tales of the Abyss-8/10-Generic j-RPGness for days when your hungover or dying from illness. Seems like the battle system will get more interesting, just hope the story picks up soon. My first Tales experience and more than likely my last if I finish it. It really should of been 2D or some kinda cell-shaded.

I want to be enough of a renegade to max out intimidate. The combat in Mass Effect is pretty easy, so I don't need to upgrade my combat skills anymore.

Tomb Raider: Underworld (Wii) - 6.5/10 so far
I've always been a huge Tome Raider fan, despite the crummy controls and camera. Legend was a huge improvement in my opinion, but Underworld kinda feels like a step back. It's still a lot of fun, but the controls are really tough to handle. I'm assuming they are a little bit better on 360 and PS3.
It's still early in the game, so maybe I'll bump the score up once I get used to the controls a little better. |

Have you played the Wii version of TR Anniversary? I've heard that Underworld has worse controls, for some reason.

I've been meaning to pick up Anniversary, but I actually can't find it around here. Target, Hastings, and GameStop never have it. I had some birthday money to spend today and I found a used copy of Underground for $20, so I couldn't pass it up. The controls aren't horrible, but they are far from good. And the camera is quite aggravating. |

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe (PS3)
This is the first Mortal Kombat I've played since Mortal Kombat 4 on the N64, and I'm surprised at how shallow the fighting engine has remained, even after all that time. It's certainly a step up, but compared to Street Fighter, Tekken, Virtual Fighter, and the like, there just doesn't seem like much to it. It's a fun concept, but I wish there was more to it. Also, those button mashing moments suck. Hard.
Big question, though: why pre-render the cutscenes if they look worse than the in-engine gameplay?
