I'm not like a HUGE Metallica fan, but a new GH game sounded fun, and the set list is pretty solid. I was worried that it would be too hard. I mean, I play on Expert with ease, but some of the stuff from the Metallica DLC in Rock Band was just infuriating and not fun.
So far so good though, I'm sure some of the latter stuff gets much more difficult, but I'm enjoying myself for now.

Rescue Rangers 2 (NES) - Sweet co-op game, definitely worth a go. Had some weird audio issues that may or may not have been related to my setup...anyone else play through it?

Is it just as easy as the first one? I can't get anyone to play Super Mario Bros. 3 with me because of difficulty ( Seriously ) but my roommate plays C&D:RR since it's a cakewalk.
Very bright and colorful and creative. This game is a throwback for people who used to like arcade games like TMNT, The Simpsons, and Xmen. This game takes much longer to beat than any of those however. I liked it a lot.
Anyone played Alien Hominid HD for 360? is it worth the bucks??
I just bought Alien Hominid because its $5 (400 points) this week. Most have said its worth the $10 (800 points) and at $5 its a steal. Its great. Castle Crashers is great too.
This game is pretty bad. It's entirely text-based. You start with $20 and the goal is to make $250. The gameplay is based on a day being a turn, basically. It tells you the weather and the current cost of lemons, sugar, cups, signs, and taxes. It asks you how many signs you want to make today, how many glasses of lemonade you will make, and what you will charge for them. After answering these it says "You sold X glasses of lemonade. Your profit today is: $X". Then it's the next day. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's also way too hard to actually sell anything.
Fudge you Admiral, for making me play this game.

You're obviously just not hardcore enough to play lemonade stand.
Sonic Heroes - 6.5/10 - Beat the Sonic campaign and got 25% into the Dark campaign before I got stuck. Probably not going to beat this game because it's not spectacular and it's pretty hard.
I really liked the first Prime but never finished it, and never played the second. I don't know what it is with Metroid games but they never hold my interest long. I think part of it is the backtracking and some is the atmosphere. Which is sad but makes a difference to me. We'll see if I can get all the way through.
Be careful with Corruption. The environments get so complex that it's easy to lose your way. I took a month break from it and can't remember what I was supposed to be doing and the map is no help at all. I just need to start over on it.
Bought a bunch of import fighters from Playasia. First one I tried is:
The King of Fighters Orochi (8/10) - Much better than the crap they released in the US called "The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga". This has KoF 95/96/97 with no loading or sound/speed bugs, arranged music, color edit, and all the console-friendly modes (single, team, single vs, team vs, survival); pretty much the best version of these games available. KoF 96/97 have multiple language options, but KoF 95 only has Japanese for some reason. This doesn't have KoF 94/98 that the US one has, but I have the much better remakes anyway (KoF 94 Rebout and KoF 98 Ultimate Match). They should have just ported this over instead of doing a hack-job.

Ditto. Metroid Prime 3 is the only Metroid game I've beaten.
Star Ocean: The First Departure (PSP) - This is the first JRPG I've enjoyed in a while, hope I can stick with it. Looks great on the new PSP (snagged a 3000 yesterday), detailed backgrounds and characters, decent JRPG voices, interesting plot so far, I'm really enjoying it. Gonna go curl up and pass out with the PSP now...
Campaign started a little boring but picked up after you have to go save some captured people. Thats when it gets good and never disappoints from there on.
Multiplayer is great, nothing new to the genre but very polished and entertaining so far. It is a fact that the game gives me motion sickness!
After that garbage, I had to play something for C64 that was actually good. So I figured it was a good excuse for me to finally check out this game. Coming out in 1993, it's considered the last major C64 game in Europe. It's a side-scrolling platformer, and the main character (who's actually a small dinosaur) has a passing resemblance to Sonic. Instead of grabbing rings or powering up in some way, you can take one hit, and then if you get hit again, you die; but, every time you go through a checkpoint, you're healed from the one hit if you've taken one. There are two versions of each level. First, it's "sad", and the background graphics are drab. You have to collect a specified number of magic dust which are left behind by some of the enemies when you jump on them, and then find the exit. Then there's a brief dialog showing you presenting the magic dust to another dinosaur, who says now he can make the area happy again. Then you play the "happy" version of the level, which is bright and extremely colorful. In the happy levels you have to collect a certain number of stars, which are both hanging around in the air (like coins/rings) and left behind by some enemies (in the form of a large star that's worth 10). You can also pick up score multipliers, which can come in handy for the extra lives. Then again you have to find the exit (and run across it), which is in a different spot than the "sad" version's. Starting with the second level you have a running move, which allows you to run quite fast and right through enemies. But you have to use it carefully or you'll fall into a pit and die. The graphics are pretty impressive for a C64 game -- very colorful, fast moving, never any slowdown or anything. The soundtrack is pretty cool too, and the tunes change with different parts of the level. There's lots of tricky platforming in this game, and the difficulty ramps up pretty quickly. Anyway, good times. I might make a video later.
