...I bought a PS3.
Nabbed myself one for $210 shipped from ebay -- not a bad price, definitely in the price range I had in mind.
Well, I managed to get a different one at $240 shipped w/2 controllers...since the first butt-hole backed out.
Anyways, now that I've gone over to the dark side [lolsome pun, there], are there any games I'm missing out on from the must-haves?
This is the list I have so far:
Uncharted
Valkyria Chronicles
Siren: Blood Curse
MGS4
Infamous
The Last Guardian (Project Trico)
I know Resistance and Resistance 2 are on alot of peoples' lists, but I hated what I played of Resistance 1...maybe I need to give it another shot, but I thought it was generic as hell. I also didn't like Killzone 1, so I doubt I'll crap myself over Killzone 2. Convince me otherwise
Anyways, is there anything else spectacular that I'm missing from my list that I can't get on 360?

So, we're talking $35 for a new DS3 + $5 shipping? or is it used?

I'd have to check and see - the one we got was new. It was $30, but that was some time ago.
Used is usually about $5 cheaper. It just depends on whether the guy slapping those little yellow stickers on is paying attention.

I'd wait on Uncharted...
With its growing popularity and the E3 knowledge of 2 to be released, I'd bet money that 1 will go GH...
Just my .02!

When you ask for it, and are willing to trade for it.
Especially if you have any Shin Megami Tensei games and aren't asking for the going rate of organs for a copy of the Re-Re-Reprint of Digital Devil Saga.
Also noticed you're in Paducah. Did you go to OMGCon?
Back on topic:
Valkyria Chronicles
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection (for the games that aren't on the Virtual Console or that you don't feel like paying $8 for)
Portal and a bunch of other crap (The Orange Box - $20 new, we have it and have finished it)

SON OF A dog!
That jerk still hasn't sent the PS3, so I sent him an email asking where the PS3 was and all I get was an email from Paypal saying he's refunded the full payment. Now I've got all these fudging PS3 games I bought and no fudging PS3.
I am pissed. |

Still don't like it. I own other systems I dislike.
BTW, I wish you could leave longer ebay feedback....it's too hard to really nail someone with like 20 characters.

Figures, low feedback user selling. I bought Resistance 2 for a pretty good price off of ebay from a guy with like 10 feedback. I got R2 in a plain manila envelope(not bubble) with a crack in the case and the disc rattling. Good thing don't scratch so easy. $4 shipping and I can't get a bubble envelope. I left him negative feedback and he actually wanted me to explain why I left it

Well, I managed to get another one at $240 shipped w/2 controllers...let's see how this works out.
(essentially, it's about the same price as the $200 one, considering I would have had to buy a 2nd controller for it @ $40). |

Nope, another 40Gb. I already have a PS1 and PS2, so that's plenty of redundancy for me as it is
Plus, I have this habit of preferring to play games on the console they were meant for...I never had the urge to put a PS1 game into a PS2. Just me, I suppose. |

| | #107 posted June 22, 2009 at 2:04pm (EST) |
40gb doesn't play PS2 games? I thought it did via software emulation or something? |
sk8rjason

| | #108 posted June 22, 2009 at 2:32pm (EST) |
It plays most PS1 and no PS2.
 |
oulzac
| | #109 posted June 22, 2009 at 2:35pm (EST) |
It was the older 80gb that had the software emulation.

Got the PS3 last night. I haven't had a chance to test it, but I opened thebox and everything looks well taken care of...and it didn't come with a 2nd Sixaxis like advertised...it came with an extra Dual Shock 3
Now I just gotta hope it works when I plug it all in tonight.
BTW - I literally just was on ebay and some dude was selling complete/mint Uncharted, LBP, and Bad Company for $55 shipped. Of course, I immediately bought them. |

he does have a right to ask. Ur not supposed to leave negative feedback for nit shipping in a bubble mailer. its a rule here as well as ebay. jus sayin

I knew there was a reason why I stopped using ebay. Bubble mailers are not that expensive. That extra bit of protection saves a lot of headaches later on.

nope. can't find that rule anywhere on ebay or here.
I'd say a negative feedback on ebay or a poor for courtesy here over something like that is perfectly justified. |

I agree. Today I got a complete Castlevania for NES in the mail that I bought. Guy ships it in a fudging envelope. I don't even need the cart or manual. I have a dozen of each. I just need the box, which is now crushed. Son of a dog.

last week I remember bill saying in Site_Feedback that if some1 ships in a manilla envelope it should not effect the feedback but i guess if it does come damaged it would be perfectly acceptable

I guess it also depends on WHAT was shipped in one. A cardboard box game is NOT acceptable to be shipped in any kind of envelope. Ever.
