For some reason I want to say there were only 5,000 of these, but I can't seem to find any support for that. Since PokemonCenter.com shut down it's hard to find out, but I remember the site definitely said the item was limited.

And considering the original MSRP was 19.99 (the memory card and link cable were worth that alone), they got snatched up QUICK. A few months after it was OOS they found 60 or so copies and put them up, but they were gone in minutes.

 * yes * (although I prefer Gold) Anyone who thinks 3rd/4th gen are better than 2nd gen because they have more features, yada yada yada...is just lying to themselves. Everyone knows G/S/C are and always will be the best Pokemon games. (Hopefully HeartGold/SoulSilver is just as good, really looking forward to it)

The $1 gamecube I found surprisingly works, though it is beat to crap. The controllers look like a dog or something ate the joysticks and everything is sticky, but for $1 I can't complain.

i actually have the chance to acquire a second copy minus the memory card, but im waiting for a price drop on that one, it was also from a half price books but listed at a 100 - so i sly bought it and returned it to a store that doesnt value games even remotely that high, i know the manager there is chill , one time i found marvel vs capcom 2 for xbox with out a price he checked it online and was like im not pricing a game over a hundred so he priced it for 15 , ill probably go check on it tomorrow

i can put up a pic later have to dig up a camera, i actually got the first one on accident, i saw it there and was like hmmmm ive never even heard of this, i then said eh i can wait and check it up later and come back,, but i called a friend and he gave me some prices on it and i was like snag

Yeah they mark everything down from retail and stack buy 1 get 1 free on top of that. Usually the games are 1/2 off the normal BB price but some are more or less. They keep putting tons of stuff out too, they have to lose a ton of money off video games unless they're selling a billion copies of Call of Duty or something.

Stopped by one of the Targets by me and they had a whole lot of nothing on clearance. In fact the games in the clearance area were all full price, so even with the 30% off it isn't much. Haven't gone to my Best Buy but they never have anything on clearance either. People must just always buy games around here for stores not to clearance anything.

That's awesome. My BB's "clearance bin" is all of the XBOX and GBA games that are too old to have shelf space at full prices, with a couple PS2 racing games and a few copies of Heavenly Guardian, all at full prices thrown in.

Yeah I was at this Best Buy that just opened up less than a year ago and they had a section of games with this official looking signs saying "clearance....special price only at this best buy" or something like that but all the games were regular prices, no indication of any mark downs or anything like that. I walked up to the customer service and asked about it, a shift manager type person walked over and told me they were "trying to move get rid of them" and when I asked what the discount was or how it was a clearance she just said they would be priced as marked. So basically it was 100% false advertisement within the store. Can I sue?

Went in to my local game store to see what was new. I asked the guy what he'd offer for a Master System, and then for the extra 2 NES's I had lying around. $30 for the SMS, $25 each on the NESs, but he'd only do store credit. So I pondered that deal when I was looking through the games, and I stumbled upon a ridiculous amount of cheap Genesis games. My system wouldn't power on last time, so I told him I'd stop at home and bring in those 3 systems and my Genesis to test at the store. Turns out the AC plug was just real finicky, and we got Streets of Rage 2 to work first try. Awesome.

So I ended up with this, with $27-ish left over:
Mortal Kombat 1,2,3 (1 and 3 with box)
Ahh Real Monsters
Animaniacs
Earthworm Jim CIB
Skitchin'
Eternal Champions CIB (this was .99. Suck it Kuros * raspberry * )
Game Genie
Sonic 1 and 2 boxed
Streets of Rage 2 boxed
Lion King
Strider
Kid Chameleon
Lethal Enforcers with a Justifer gun
Judge Dredd boxed
Jungle Strike CIB
T2: The Arcade game CIB <--- hopefully the Justifer works with this * smile *

and then as an afterthought i swapped my extra Link's Awakening and Tetris GB carts for Final Fantasy Legend II.

I stopped by the flea market today before I have to go to work and today was a good day.

First vendor I saw was selling a bunch of different electronics and games. He had a lot of crap nes/n64 games and ps1 sports. I saw Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Banjo Kazooie. He wanted $8, I offered $6 and it was accepted.

-Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (Complete)
-Banjo Kazooie (Cart)
-$6 for both

Second venodr I saw had clothes, toys, etc. I saw a box of genesis games. Looked inside and saw a bunch of sports titles. Did manage to find Decap Attack boxed. Price was $3, I accepted.

-Decap Attack (Boxed)
-$3

Third vendor I saw had a box of NES titles and I looked through it. Nothing too spectacular. I picked up Tiny Toons Adventures and Whomp Em for $3. For some reason I thought Whomp Em was worth more but I was wrong

-Tiny Toons (Cart Only)
-Whomp Em (Cart Only)
-$3 for both

The last vendor I went to had my greatest find in the wild. EVER. I saw a bunch of NES/SNES/GEN/N64 Games in a glass case. All Mario, Sonic, Donkey Kong, Kirby, etc marked at $20-$30 each. I was about to walk away when I saw a few other carts to the side. I found Final Fantasy III (aka VI) and.... OGRE BATTLE: THE MARCH OF THE BLACK QUEEN!!! I asked how much. She said 2 for $15. I gladly paid and walked away with a smile on my face.

-Final Fantasy III
-Ogre Battle: The march of the Black Queen
-Both for $15

Just when I thought my day couldn't be better, as I was leaving I walked by a trash can and did a double take. I went back and saw a Genesis game on top. It was Sonic 2. I thought cool, free game (even though it's common and I have it). Then I saw more a little further down. PGA European Tour, Mortal Kombat II, Dungeons & Dragons, and Streets of Rage 2. There was also 2 controllers in there. A SN Propad for the SNES and a SN Propad 2 for the Genesis. All of this was in the trash.

WHY WOULD THEY TRASH THESE?!??!?!

-Sonic 2 (cart)
-PGA European Tour (cart)
-Mortal Kombat II (cart)
-Streets of rage 2 (cart)
-Dungeons & Dragons (cart)
-SN Propad for SNES
-SN propad 2 for GEN
-FREE

Thanks for reading!
