According to this thread: http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6956...
SCD Samurai Shodown: Character sprites are more animated and faithful to the Neo-Geo original (Genesis sprites were already almost as big as the Neo-Geo veersion). Slightly more animation than Genesis' sprites. Music is straight out of the Neo-Geo cart, except in Redbook. Voice samples believe it or not.........WORSE than the Genesis version. Very tinny and scratchy which was disappinting. Backgrounds are noticeably less colorful and missing in details compared to the Neo and even the Genesis (this was done to concentrate on the sprites and animation most likely). No Earthquake as in the Genesis version.
Oh, and apparently the SCD version features a crippling glitch in which the game locks up when you reach the last boss, Amakusa. No "fixed" version was ever released. |

Earthquake was garbage from what I remember. I usually played as Gen-an, the green guy with the claw. Really sucks that you can't beat the game, though.

Pawn:
Fallout 3 PS3 $15
Silent Hill 3 PS2 $5
Went to another pawn and they had Wheelman, WWE 2009, Endwar x2, NBA Live 09 x2, Dead Space, Oblivion GOTY, and probably a few things I am forgetting. Tried to buy 5 games they said it'd be $10 each, then she asked again and he said $5, then she needed him to come over and enter in some numbers (manager approval or something) and he realized I was trying to buy them and said they'd be $15-25 each Anyway the games were all mint and clearly stolen, probably from Target. |

Very satisfying hour before work this morning:
Salvation Army:
- Marvel VS Capcom Clash of Super Heroes
- Marvel VS Capcom 2
- Resident Evil Code Veronica
each game had a yellow sticker on it "2.99", so I was expecting to pay $10, upon being rang up the chasier says all yellow stickers items are 50% off today, so these 3 for $4.78!
Pawn Shop:
- Resident Evil 2
- Snowboard Kids
- Snowboard Kids 2
all 3 for $10.00 even
. |

Last time I went around to some Good Wills, 1 didn't have any games, 1 had a used original Xbox for $100, and another had a bunch of Genesis sports games for $5 each. |

Sick find. I've seen some amazing games at my local Salvation Army. Over the last two months, I've seen like-new copies of GTA IV PC, Left 4 Dead PC, and Spore, all at $9.99. I'm afraid to pick them up because of CD keys, though. Seems weird that they'd have the games. |

A store in Rehoboth DE called record and tape traders.
I think I will sell the adapters to my regular buyer and the install discs on ebay for $8 or so each, since sealed ones aren't worth any more than opened.

Oh man, I'm totally diggin' it. Her voice is mesmerizing. I thought she was singing in French, but I've come to understand that she isn't so much singing in any language. In any case, I'm definitely down. |

Got my DSi from the Amazon promotion yesterday.
$169.99
- $75.00 coupon
- $76.00 trade-in credit
= $18.99
Not technically a find, but it's still awesome. |
gauu
| | #75 posted July 2, 2009 at 9:23am (EST) |
well the real question is what did you pay for the trade credit games? if you got some good trade credit finds then its a really sweet deal.
either way man nice. what color ??? black or the ice blue color |
Renaissance2K
| | #76 posted July 2, 2009 at 11:04am (EST) |
They were all games I wanted to get rid of anyway. I took a look at the used prices on Amazon and eBay, so if the trade-in value was half of that or more, I pulled the trigger. I was going to trade-in Guitar Hero: Metallica for $37.50 last Sunday, but I had to do the order on another account, so I missed the deal.
I got the black one. The free Rhythm Heaven wasn't enough to make me want a blue. |
gauu
| | #77 posted July 2, 2009 at 12:32pm (EST) |
ahh i wouldve taken the blue just for rythym heaven lol. its actually kinda addicting the game.

Thanks to CAG, Gamestop, Blockbuster, and a few hours of my free time, I was able to procure the following for about $40 out of my pocket:
Could've cost me nothing, but I wasn't aware of the Gamestop ---> BBV flips until this morning. In any case, I'm very pleased! |
