nice dave =P. at least the snes doesnt look as bad as the one i got for 5$ from a bundled game lot off craigslist. the cartridge tray had dust balls leaves and wood wurms inside. amazingly after 3 hours of cleaning i got it working no issues at all. |

I have great luck with untested systems, only 1 out every 20 I buy don't work.....and it's almost always a Sega system that doesn't work.

Haven't gotten a system that doesn't work yet... but then again, it's been nothing but Dreamcasts around here for the last few years.

Visc - the Book & Music Exchanges around here actually have SNES cables for sale, if you can't get a decent enough deal on them here.
Though I do want to apologise for having traded Metal Gear Solid for Dragon Quest V. Sorry.

No worries
Besides, I'm just using this new console to replace my current, severely cosmetically damaged system - I already have cables for that one
Now I need to find a sucker buyer for this ugly little console. |

My SNES is a launch day system, just with an extremely ghetto-rigged mod for Super Famicom games.

yeah, well my old one has a friggin hole in it - and no, I'm not talking about the ports or the place where the carts go. I accidently stepped on it one night a few years ago. Still works just fine though, miraculously... |

The fact that it still works is pretty amazing, but then again, Nintendo makes some pretty sturdy stuff.

yeah, i remember beating a gameboy color on the corner of a fold out mattress that was in my basement. i was playing mario tennis and was doing one of the challenges where it's just you against two CPU opponents. I actually ended up winning the match, but not before throwing the GBC around and beating on the metal corner. It still worked even after that. i was pretty impressed and happy that i didn't have to go by a new GBC after that blind rage.

they're not really "finds" but I got theses three games from my local pawn shop. Buy 3 any 3 of PS2/GC/X-Box for $20.
Final Fantasy X - GH, very good
MGS3 - No manual, very good
TimeSpliters 2 - PC, excellent
I used to play TS2 at my friend's house with him and his brothers all the time; glad I finally got it, cause it's amazing. brings back old memories. gotta copy their mem card data though, cause I don't have Fire and Virus modes unlocked :( |

In fact, I sold it in a lot on Craigslist that went for $190. |

cool kuros. i do the same thing but its done through a separate bank account. basically i have a separate bank account thats for my flipping only. like you january and february were my best months. thats when i cleaned out 7 fye stores and got lucky and found 9 brand new sealed mass effect limited editions at gamestop. my total profits on all that was around 800 then i kept about 150ish worth of games from fye so still made out really well. i dont keep as much as you do though on my finds. so my profits are a bit more. i still say your the best treasure hunter around. anyone can get lucky finds at gamestop or clearance racks. you pull things off thats just amazing. |

All Star Cheer Squad Wii - $4.98 (calm down Enix)
Yi-Gi-Oh Double Pack GBA - $3.74

Aforementioned 360 120 GB HDD - $49.97 ea

also on a side note i had a really good day today picked all these up from a craigslisting.
list:(all are cart only)
pokemon red
pokemon blue
megaman xtreme
super mario advance
pokemon firered
pokemon leafgreen
pokemon sapphire
pokemon ruby
pokemon ruby/sapphire pinball
total paid 36$
30 seconds after i was done doing the trade i went to my local pawnshop. traded in the 3 gameboy games for 17$ cash. i then went across street to gamestop and traded in the rest minus the pinball pokemon which im keeping.
total i got from gamestop was 76.62$ store credit. not bad id say considering the games were only in my hands for about 2 mins and i made 57.62$ profit. |
KingofGames
| | #795 posted August 7, 2009 at 8:04pm (EST) |
Wasted potential, I'd say. Those Pokemon games sell for an ass load, don't they? Could've sworn the GBA Pokemon games were at least $20 each. |
gauu
| #796 posted August 7, 2009 at 8:26pm (EST) edited August 7, 2009 at 8:26pm (EST) |
they actually dropped drastically with the economy gamestop gave me more for them than i wouldve gotten online.
i got 15 each for sapphire and ruby and 20 each for firered and leafgreen
these are amazon prices mind you before i lose fees and shipping
ruby is 23$
sapphire is 18$
fire red is 20$
leafgreen is 18$
mario advance is 10$
if i sold them individually i wouldve gotten maybe tops 5$ more then i wouldve at gamestop. plus considering persona psp, demons souls, and dissidia are all coming out in a few weeks to a month i just took the fast easy option.
its still just about 58$ profit and considering the games were in my hands for literally 2 mins tops im happy. |
