Surge came out today. so far not bad. very nioh and bloodborn feel as in fast combat. switching limbs takes some getting used to.
Phantom Dust remaster is supposed to be out today for free.
injustice came out today as well. grabbed that on my ps4 though,
Finally started up Crackdown 3 and I'm having a lot of fun with it. There are definitely weird issues with the game like really bad enemy AI and floaty controls, but I really needed a game right now that allowed me to just turn my brain off and have some stupid fun for a while after playing 2 loooooong pretty boring grindy games back to back. Collecting orbs is actually pretty fun too since you use those to get better agility abilities.
Absolutely. I predict next gen they will get up off the ground running unlike this gen.
They need to come out next gen with a good priced powerful console and good launch games and a clear message as to what they're doing. Also Game Pass next gen will be a big feature because upon launch you get access all their 1st party games. I think that coming out with 2 consoles is the best method because it caters to all gamers and people who want a more powerful more expensive machine can have one but not everyone is forced into that as their only option.
"Adam Kicinski, CEO of CD Projekt RED, said that E3 2019 will be a vital one and that the studio has "prepared a strong show" for the people who will be attending it in LA later this year. While not explicitly saying what the show will consist of, we can safely assume that we'll be treated to an even bigger Cyberpunk 2077 showcase."
Will be sweet to see more about this game.
Yeah, I hope the next gen Xbox launches with Halo Infinite at least, available day 1 on GP. Halo is usually a good system seller.
And I cannot wait for that Cyberpunk game. I'm drooling. I hope they give us a release date finally, but I'm not holding my breath for that. I did read recently that CD Projekt Red has another game just as big as Cyberpunk in the works to be released by 2021. Witcher spin-off game maybe? Possibly focusing on Ciri?
Infinite right now is supposed to be a launch game. They're wanting to come out of the gates hard next gen. Gotta have Halo at launch, is a major cornerstone for Xbox and will really drive people next gen. I think its supposed to be available for current gen too, but who knows what features will be cut from the X1S or OG X1 since they have trouble running current AAA games.
yeah, Cyberpunk looks really. freaking. good. I didn't know what to expect but when I saw some game play last year I was massively surprised at what they showed.
I didn't think I would like the 1st person aspect but after seeing a few gameplay vids, I knew I was all in.
I actually kind of prefer 1st person to 3rd. This gen has been oversaturated with over the shoulder/3rd person action adventure games and we need a change up and a dev trying something new. I think that CDPR is the perfect company to give that a shot.
So many people I see on YouTube including ACG live streaming the BL3 event. I guess it really is going to be a BL3 reveal. They're saying Gearbox has a 1 hour presentation to give, so let's see what they show. Hopefully it's not an hour long justification of a live service BL MMO type game. If so, I'm out before I was even in.
I mean I personally would not like anything more in the Witcher-verse. I was just spitballin'. I hope it's another new IP. We need more of those nowadays.
I think they're also going to show a Bullet Storm game for the Switch and something new they're working on. Zero interest in Bullet Storm though, I freaking hated that game.
If this isn't a BL3 announcement then this will probably be the biggest disappointment in gaming history. This will make the mobile Diablo fiasco seem like nothing in comparison.
Agreed. If it's just BL1 remastered and Bulletstorm for the Switch for an hour, it's a waste of a hype train.
They say its a new BL game and that its not a BR game. I loved the boos when they mentioned BR though, lol.
Texture pack drops soon too, may need to check that out but I'm afraid that if I boot up BL2 again then I'll lose 100 more hours of my life into it. That's what happened when the Handsome Jack collection launched.
If they didn't show BL3 today then Pitchford would have needed to be driven out of there in the Popemobile. No other way he would have left that stage alive.
So damn true. Nobody builds up that much hype to let everyone down without repercussions. And ya I can't put anymore time into BL2 or the pre-sequel. I will, however, play BL1 when it drops next week since I never played it all the way thru.
I played BL1 quite a bit and really enjoyed it. I had no idea that you could find crazy legendary gear though, I just ran around with a revolver that had infinite ammo and crazy poison abilities and wondered why I couldn't kill any loot bosses, lol. Most of the DLC in BL1 was so bad though. The last one they dropped was pure trash of the highest order. You had to do like 100 rounds of arena fights and each one took a couple of minutes to do and there were no check points if you turned the game off, so you needed around 3 hours of free time just to complete it.....and there were 3 of those. They had one really good DLC though, can't remember the name but it added around 20 hours of gameplay.
Yeah, I think there are multiple worlds in 3 which is good because 2 ended with showing vaults on multiple worlds before the credits rolled.
You really kind of need people to play with in BL1. I played solo and thought it was pretty good, but playing it with my brother made the game 10x better. BL2 I played about 99% solo and loved it. Presequal was just kind of meh.
Unless they're dirty hackers. One guy jumped into my game who had some weird hacked weapon that shot watermelons which insta-killed everything in sight. It wasn't really all that fun so I had to leave the party. With friends though, yeah, 100x better easily.
MS is rumored to be releasing "Game Pass Ultimate" which includes GP and XBL for $15/month. Not a screaming deal, works out to pretty much subbing to GP monthly and buying XBL for $60/year, but I'm sure we'll see retailers offering this bundle at a reduced price in the future.
That would be a slam dunk if they did that.
Yeah, ends up being a better deal for people who buy monthly XBL and GP right now. Its being reported by numerous Xbox insiders and Windows Central, so its probably about 99% legit.
Sounds like the entire Anthem mess was almost solely the fault of Bioware and EA had very little involvement in the mess. It spent 4 years in "preproduction" and when it was shown at E3 they didn't even start the game yet and didn't know it was going to be called Anthem until just a few days prior or that it would have flying in it OR that it would be a looter shooter. Supposedly, Bioware made the game in 17 months and went into a huge development crunch and thought that "Bioware magic would save the game" because its the exact same way that Dragon Age Inquisition was made but they lucked out and it worked for them that time so they decided to develop Anthem the same way. It got to the point that employees were reduced to taking 1-3 months off of work because of stress and would sit in empty conference rooms by themselves crying. EA got lots of hate for the state at which this game launched, but it sounds like Bioware completely screwed the pooch and were hugely responsible for how this game turned out. https://kotaku.com/how-biowares-anthem-went-wrong-...
The report was really surprising because Anthem seemed like stereotypical EA stupidity but in the end they were pretty hands off the whole thing and let Bioware completely screw this game up. Sad what's become of what was once one of the top devs in the industry.
Bioware needs to be bought by someone who would be willing to invest money into building the team back up to what it used to be. Along with Bioware, they need to acquire the franchises to the games which made them known in the industry, stuff like Mass Effect and Dragon Age. EA seems to have no interest in managing that team and with how talent depleted Bioware is now I don't think they'll be able to make anything like they used to.
I still say Bioware should disperse and go work for Obsidian. Then maybe we can have Obsidian coaching those new fools on what we truly want and MS supporting them and giving them the direction and resources needed.
