I don't usually check user ratings on Metacritic because I don't put much stock in them. It's not too uncommon to see people that stick a 0 or a 10 score followed up by only 1 sentence to explain why. Most times if I check Metacritic it's just because I wanna see what the overall critic score for a game is and that's it. But when it comes to me looking for reviews to decide if I want to purchase a game I will check specific reviewers on YouTube before I check anywhere else. I want the person reviewing the game to be out of $60 if the game sucks, just like I would have been. So anyone who gets a game for free from the publisher I usually don't trust their opinion as much.
