Got 2 deals. First was a driver san francisco in dvd case for pc, the other I believe was splinter cell conviction. He wanted a box of timbits for it, but lived 6 hours away. I said, would you ship driver for $8. He said sure. Got back to me that he shipped both, so prob spent $6 on shipping + padded, and still needed timbits, so said $8 to be fair or $10, prob what he wanted. Sent $10 for it. Enroute.

Another deal, though this one is a little more vague. Forgot to snap a pic and he deleted it when I etransfered. Got tracking number. 6 sealed games in boxes. 2 Heroes of might and magic millenium edition, but both different but I know both are heroes, crusader of might and magic, sheep, some virtual I believe pool 2 game, and some airplane or airport game. All of them are sealed in boxes, not mint condition for sure. BUT HERE'S THE KICKER: They Are All Missing Their UPC barcodes. Have been cut out. Paid $25 + $25 for shipping.

Spent $60, making $77 of a local deal, sold some tickets for $51.50 yesterday, barely sold cuz it was running out of time, and I caved and lowered and lowered lol. Won them so whatever. Wasn't a show I really wanted to see anyways. But from the $77 I need $60 to pay my line of credit this month, since I spent that today via etransfer. All in all, May is a month I'm going to try and kickstart more to do, so hopefully, it ends up being alright and good. Also seen a gamecube with mario strikers and zelda collector's edition, and some other whatever game, for $50, but with shipping, and I'm not big on shipping anyways, and I trust myself with pc games. It was in the same vicinity that I got the pc games, but 3.5 hours, did that for the last lot with that oversized LOTR battle for middle earth II game. Not doing that again lol

On a side note, I have to give credit to the Dave & Buster's I've gone to many times in the past. Their claw machine is definitely set to full grip strength. When you play that claw machine, you know that you actually have a chance at winning.

In contrast to one of the lousiest crane machines I've played a long time ago at some convenience store. That claw would drop down perfectly around your prize and then smoothly recede while not gripping the item at all. One of the laziest claws ever.

Maybe I'm just not knowing enough about the mechanics of those- but knowingly making it harder to win without having to advertise the difficulty seems - off. I guess it's consider a gambling machine?

Correct - those arcade games can be set to payout at pretty much any frequency the owners choose. Mark Rober made a video about the spinning light game - he made a device to stop the light at the exact moment the light would give max earnings. It rarely stopped as it should.

My work schedule has been a little crazy lately, but I managed to get out to sales a few times in April. Video game hunting has been really hard around here lately, but I've had some decent pickups.

Grabbed these for $15 from a neighbor who collects comics but picks up games on the side. He didn't know how to clean or test these, but I got them all working.

In my spare time I help host a monthly cult movie night, and one feature is a crappy raffle at the end of the night where we give out weird/kitschy prizes. I grabbed these for a total of about $5 and I'm really looking forward to handing them out.

One of my favorite community sales of the season took place last week, so I took my daughter out and made a day of it. I grabbed the handheld lot for $40 and the N64 lot for $20. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the GBA and Pac-Man Collection to work, but everything else is in good condition.

@Gildon_Dancypants If you can't get the GBA working, you can still get a fair bit for it busted on eBay. I was surprised by how much when I sold a few.

There were some garage sales today and I grabbed 18 video games/tv show seasons for $28 total. Nothing really noteworthy.

Got a deal. Not sure how good it really is, but figured I'd ask if he's ever around the area. He said he can come by, so I said, $5 or $10 for deliver. The lot was $10. He said $10 flat.

That's what I got. I know a few people were inquiring about call of duty 4 modern warfare and this has 2 copies. Looked through some sim games, and some had the manuals and keys, some didn't. Don't know how complete it'll all be, the dude said it's his son's, but gave me a fair price. Just had to take it. Also noticed baldur's gate in folder but missing some discs. If it ever gets rarer I can sell individual discs lol. More stuff to sort through soon, and lots less will be up online, as people like to garage sale this kinda stuff I'm sure. Anyways, sharing all my deals of late, kinda like I share most if not all contests I find on another forum. Take it or leave it, I browse pc game deals in my spare and bored time in the lab lol

a package just came in, and the games that were supposed to be new and sealed, just the upc cut out, are in mint condition, prob never played, but open box, with upc's cut out. Def not what I was expecting, bummed out, messaged him, but seems sometimes you get the back end of the stick in these deals with people just not knowing enough about them or listing them incorrectly.

Got might and magic millenium edition, heroes of might and magic millenium edition, crusaders of might & magic, sheep, airport tycoon and virtual pool 2. No upcs, not new and sealed in boxes, just checked out the 2 millenium's and prob will make my money back with the boxes as they are. Might not ask too much for a box, but seems can easily get $30 profit for each without boxes. Can't expect too much all the time lol

What I got. Crusader and Virtual Pool seem to be worse condition boxes. Thinking of selling the 2 magics millenium editions with no upcs for $70 CAD or so each on ebay. Think I can get higher? Saw a regular no box sell for $38. Prob will try a little higher, since I see ones with boxes going for a premium. Than again I have a quake team arena and new in boxes seem to be $250 if lucky, $300, and I'm selling one without upc and no bites and it's new and sealed.

The other 4 games, crusaders, pool, sheep and airport, I'll prob chuck the boxes out and sell the contents. Crusaders, airport and pool are sealed jewels.

EDITED AND UPDATED AGAIN: checked US ebay, and seems the heroes one is rarer than the other. Also doesnt help that someone put 2x the value on a complete in box with strategy guide might millenium and it sold prob immediately lol. Meh, will try. I might need to look at US ebay more closely and align all my prices on the stuff that hasn't sold yet. Some I may even raise, but prob not

And as for pc games, played a lot of them. Picked these ones without the upc, but all are like new inside. Will prob put the might and magic millenium @ 50 or 55 CAD, and put the heroes at $70 - $80. Unsure if it'll sell missing the upc, but if I make double off those 2 (paid $50 shipped, and $120 on ebay is around $100 for you), I can prob get another $50 or $60 from the 3 new jewels. I might give the boxes without upc's away locally (except the milleniums), don't want to waste them, but have no room to keep spare boxes, well, I could make them flat and put them where I keep the boxes. Big fan of pc games even though I don't play. Yesterday saw a working slim ps3 and xbox 360 no cables, but worked with like 100 for ps3 and xbox 360 games, jurassic park the game stuck out for xbox 360 but man he wanted $125 for it all. Missed it too. Would have been a lot of $5 or so games to list, but back to the pc drawing board. Maybe console deals are for others lol, since I gotta do more research but am getting better at figuring out what's a good deal or not. Maybe I'll post one at some point. Good deal hunting to y'all, and yeah, garage sales are hitting. Sometimes they post them online, and say if they got games or not. But I take it you gotta be there early from what I hear. My uncle wants me to collect some vinyl for him, garage sales seems like the only place for good deals on that. We'll see. Staying comfortable waiting for more warmth. Can't take things too seriously, but need to catch up from some slacking. Summer months for better deals, and more fun all around!

Great deal but shipping from Canada kills passing it along to anyone here. That's a lot of gaming action. I remember when I shipped a SNES to Canada for $14. Can't imagine what that would run now.

I recall I used to send cd's and dvd's in bubble mailers for at most $7, prob $6. Now they have to go as media mail, and it's around $11. Some people still say they're sending letters and send cd's/dvd's, but yeah, if buying a lot of stuff, the package is around $30 prob. A system and games, might be $35 or $40 even. It's definately not helped my selling, as some things I try to sell to Canucks for $2.20 lettermail if under 100 grams, and $3.60 if over 100 grams. All singles usually fall in either. Can't really compete elsewhere, and haven't gotten used to claiming it's a letter and getting it sent cheap. They know me, I only ship media, I'd prob have to go to another post office lol

PS: Think I got the deal. He replied with address, I just asked for cell number that I could text upon arriving. Either busy or at work by his reply times, but all good

I risked the letter thing for someone here awhile back (they were paying shipping and said they were okay with taking the chance). Game case ended up being shattered but the disc was still okay somehow.

Got the deal. But before I was going to leave, I messaged about a wii game lot, than saw she had a ps3 lot, a ps2 with cables and controllers all for $25 each and a red wii in box for $50. Said I'd take it all, to cut me a little deal. When I got back, she had 11 listings, down to 3, never got back to me, and i left my cell.

But a little out of the city, I scored a deal that I thought I missed, but was still available. Guess people like big things they can easily flip for double or more, and big titles. Seen lots of people selling low cost games, and all the marios are gone lol. Don't mind going a bit aways sometimes, but lots of work listing it all down the line, I'm sure lol. Xbox 360 had controllers, ps3 no controllers

Picked up an original launch PS3 60gb CechA01. Warranty seal still intact. Everything working but the disc drive. Should be a good little learning project. I also have several 80gb BC models that I'm gonna try to bring back to life this year.

Also grabbed some disc only Saturn games that are super scratched, would be nice if I can get any of them working. The lot was only $20 and included Astal, Golden Axe, VF2, VC1, UMK3, Dark Stalkers, & command and conquer. Taking them to a shop tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Quick trip to a small town for garage sales today but good hits.

Some bluray TV show seasons for $1 each. Also grabbed all of Mutant X for my brother at a $1 a season.

Stack of mostly ps3 and a wii game for $10. Maybe 17 games total. Some are loose and were in the cases with the matching games for the case. In the need for speed carbon case was an NCAA basketball 10.
