Thanks for the deck picture. What's that relic in between the dark star and the preserved insect? I don't recognize it.

No, I meant to say I just take the first option, which I think is 50 gold, instead of taking the gamble on the good face/bad face.

Scarves?

It's the 50% off in shops relic

Oh ok, you said you always take the good face so I thought i was missing something haha
Jesus your stats depress me, they're so good, especially since you're doing high ascension runs
Mine are:
Ironclad - 1/34 (lol, i actually thought it was worse)
Silent - 3/17
Defect - 2/5 (just destroyed this last run, cruised by the final battle with awakened one)
Watcher - 1/14
dont laugh at me :(

Membership Card. It actually gives 50% off everything in shops, so cards, potions, and card removes are included! I love getting an early Membership Card.

I'm sure mine didn't look great early on. It took me a little while to get the hang of the game. Once things start to click, you just win more and more.

5-May(#129)I'm curious what my stats are. Will check later.
Though I know that my playtime is between 125-200 hours.

5-May(#130)I just looked up my stats:
Ironclad:
victories/deaths
4/17
Silent:
4/12
Defect:
4/40
Watcher:
2/3
I'm surprised by this. For having played 100+ hours, I thought I would have had more wins/losses.
My quickest victory was with The Silent, at 1h 57m 39s
Slowest victory was with The Watcher, 3h 12m 01s, but I think that long time was mainly due to the character being new and me learning how to play it.

* 7-May(#131)Actually had a really decent Watcher start, began with a "swap starter relic for random boss relic", ended up being +1 Energy BUT... you can't heal at camp. Not a big deal, right, we chillin. Took vampirism to boot, that was nice, don't think I've ever done bites, but they're good.
Took another relic on boss 1 or 2 that was +1 energy BUT... you can't play more than six cards per turn. No problem, I'm only playing like five a turn anyways!
imageYeah. Got to phase two of awakened one, couldn't dig well enough for block, took 80 to the dome gg. Still felt like a great run up to that point, been so long since I've made it to Act 3 that I forgot you've gotta be having more than a good run to close it out. :p
Cut through fate is sooooo good, expunger is nice burst too. Sad I didn't get them until late in the run.

8-May(#132)All this Slay the Spire talk. It's not right.
I was in middle of Arceus Legends, and now I've put it to the side and returned to Slay the Spire.

Nice. The Defect is fun. I'm currently on A3 for Ironclad. I've played the other characters a lot more than Ironclad, so I'm giving this one more of a go now.

8-May(#135)I just lost to the Bronze Automaton in a pretty

way. I had 2HP and it had 3HP. I had 2x Combust+ in play (at the end of your turn lose 1 HP and do 7 damage to all enemies). So I lost 2HP. The end.

9-May(#137)How many hours do others here have logged for Slay the Spire?

That card is terrible, but damned if it didn't just win me the game on the turn I needed it to.
imageLots of good artifacts, went for value over smartness and took an item that upgraded all my cards BUT removes healing function from the rest of the game I THINK halfway through Act 2, luckily I was dropping some bombs, I don't think I've throw damage this big around in a run before, pretty nuts. Prostrates and Brilliance+ megagood. Cut throughs STILL too good. But yeah, no heals is kinda rough, eventually you just run outta block.

When that dreadful feeling that you just wasted lots of time becomes elation. Well played there.

Just 140 damage for 0 energy, no big deal. I haven't taken that card in a while, I'm always afraid I won't be able to play it lol

10-May(#146)bill wrote:> I generally avoid Runic Dome, but I have to admit that the few times I've taken it,

Same. I even have a couple Ascension wins where I swapped into it right at the start, which was scary. I still avoid it most of the time though, simply because the game isn't as fun when you don't know what the enemies are going to do. It's borderline stressful lol

Technically I didn't even take it, I got it from
Good Instincts Metamorphosis, which means it was effectively PURE luck that I cleared that boss. That was Pen Nib, Metamorphosis pulling that, me drawing it, and in wrath without any other attacks in hand. Otherwise I was dust. That was basically a luck meat luck cheese luck bread sandwich.
Trust your instincts. Taking it is always the wrong option, because chances are you WON'T be able to play it and it's a dead card in hand.

11-May(#154)Just had a close call. Shelled parasite took out most of my HP. I had just 17 remaining. Luckily, there was a merchant at the next room who had Lee's Waffle (gain 5 max HP, and fully heal).

* 11-May(#155)I'm interested in knowing how people here play regarding defense/hp/potions/future battles.
I had the following scenario:
Distilled chaos potion (play the top 3 cards of your deck)
1 energy remaining
Cards in hand:
Zap
Defend
Strike
A relatively weak enemy attacking for 8
Do you defend and use a strike, taking 3 damage
Or
Do you use distilled chaos (which may or may not defeat the enemy) and avoid damage at all costs? But now you no longer have distilled chaos for future battles.

* 11-May(#157)I had a similar thought, that 3 damage isn't too bad and potions can be very valuable. But I was wondering if others play a 'always take the least damage possible' game.
There isn't that much more info I can add. I was fighting two of those beginner armadilloish enemies (when you damage them, they have that ability to roll up for defense)
There was one enemy remaining and it was intending to attack for 8 damage.
All I had was 1 energy, a zap, a defend, and a strike. (And the potion)
