Generally speaking, Zora is viewed as the first "dungeon" in BOTW as the game basically tells you to go to kokriko village and Zoran domain is the closest divine beast from there. I also think so.eome in town mentions Zoran domain but I can't recall.

As another user pointed out, you don't have to. Turn around and go anywhere you'd like to go

My first play through I did Zora's first. My second playthrough I did it last.

I also did Zora's Domain first my first time. My second time through I went to Rito's Village first to get Revali's Gale.

Welp Nintendo announced Super Mario Advance 1, 2 and 3 (SMB2, SMW & Yoshi's Island) for NSO coming May 26th. Are you saying I should prioritize the GBA version of SMB2 for when I get around to giving it another go? Is it superior to the others?

Not in my opinion. Stick with the original or all stars version if this is your first play through.

Nice. Those are like mini bosses almost. How'd you defeat it?

Kommie is a dark souls fan.

A lynel is pretty tame in comparison

Abusing the dodge flurry mechanic thing, made it mostly pretty easy

Saw this strategy for lynels to reduce weapon break and is a bit more engaging than waiting for flurry rush opportunities: https://youtube.com/shorts/1P6HBpH5xlc?feature=sha...

Oh ok gotcha. Any specific reason?

Due to the ratio of the GBA screen (3:2) compared to NES and SNES (4:3, standard TV back then) they had to make a choice to either compress the screen (distort the ratio), add bars reducing play area, or zoom in only giving you part of the screen. They chose to zoom in. Drives me nuts not having a locked screen. Like Super Mario Bros on GBC. They also added (albeit brief) awful voice acting to the bosses.

They added some good things, but the changes above make it nearly unplayable as a big fan of the game.

The physics are different between the original and SNES All Star version. Personally, admittedly nostalgia biased, I'd play the NES version. Like all 2-d Mario's back then, warps can significantly reduce the time to beat it if you get stuck.

Yeah, that would do it. I guess you have good timing. You can't mess around with Lynels. One or two hits from them early in the game takes you out. So if you're utilizing the counter, there's little margin for error.

I love this strat. This is how I defeated silver lynels so quickly. I used to go around after every blood moon and fight all of the silver lynels to farm weapons and materials. I could usually defeat all of them in about 30 minutes, including travel time, mostly thanks to this trick. I had a really powerful Royal Guard's Claymore (around 118 I believe) that I kept in my inventory specifically for this. A few hits from that while mounted, then a few headshots after he flings you off (preferably with a x3 or x5 bow), did massive damage.

That was not the narration I was expecting... a middle-age waitress at a nearly southern diner sounding narrator.

lol

I forgot an important part of my process I described above. I had the fully upgraded Barbarian armor, and I always used dishes with the max attack power up boost.

Damn y'all went hardcore on BotW. I'm considering replaying it before TotK. I played it like 6 years ago or whenever it first came out. But i didn't do all this crazy ass armor stuff and going full out on gear, but still might consider getting back into it and moving into the new one

Tbh I’d recommend just playing the new one. You can do everything in TOTK that you can do in BOTW but way more, and the story is actually worthwhile on the new one (so far).

Yeah I put a lot of hours into it, like 235 in the end after DLC. I really liked cooking and spent a lot of time learning the best ways to cook all of the best dishes, and farming the materials so that I could always keep the best dishes in my inventory. I also fully upgraded all of the armor sets except for the ones that needed star fragments since those were so incredibly rare. Shouldn't be a problem in TotK though thanks to the duplication glitch.

Is there a cookbook of sorts in TotK? Having to remember what makes what is annoying in BotW

Yeah, recipes are stored after you cook a dish. If a dish can be made with different ingredient combinations, it stacks on that recipe so you can see the different combinations.

Ok that makes sense. Maybe I'll just YouTube the story or cutscenes from BotW to fresh up and then just go into totk

I like the upgraded features of the OLED, such as the angle changeable kickstand and the larger screen. But there's one thing that I don't like about the OLED compared to the non OLED. The bezel of the tablet on the OLED is glossy. Much prefer matte. I wonder why they changed it. Not a big deal, but if there had been a choice, I'd definitely have gone with matte.

Yes. 100% yes. My second playthrough did it first to get it out of the way.
