new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

4.5 stars from 40 ratings, can't be THAT bad?!

But just noticed it's a tactical RPG, thought it looked like a mecha adventure type game when I saw a robot, it looks like just an enemy.
We will see how much I like it. It's still got the anime look!

I haven't played lost dimension much either but the premise seemed interesting and the anime style was cool.

that little red haired guy in your mystery anime looks kinda familiar

I was pretty hyped from the description of the game (Someone betraying your team) but I remember reading some middling reviews and I have a feeling it will have typical terrible game dialogue. I did grab it for Vita so I'm still going to give it a try at some point.

It's another dime a dozen jrpg with teenagers. Dialogue is nothing to write home about.

Yea, that'd be the best case scenario. Sale + $15 promo. I always try to look for some obscure titles that never go on sale that I want to fill up the $100 mark.
Also I guess if you have a newer release game on your list, then that's almost half of the $100 mark.

Retro Thread Pilfer & Scoops Program
Here is how it works:

Offer up an item with value more than $10, shipping is paid for by the person offering. But before you can lock in the scoop, you have to offer up a "pilfer" of your own worth $10 or more in value.
- 24 hours to try to get someone to take your item. If no one takes it after 24 hours, it will revert back to the previous deal so someone else can have a chance. Feel free to change it up before your time expires.
- No other limitations other than you need to be at least Bronze Star to participate. Regular GameTZ trade rules apply.
- While there is no upper limit, but for a general guideline, I would say $20-$30 should be the upper limit.
- Please wait until at least 2 layers of new scoops before pending trade.
- No price means free. No PayPal needs to be involved, but can be used to offer higher up items. e-Currency is OK.
- Trying not to put more limits than needed, when crap happens, we will try to work it out.

I think I will have to skip Witcher III GotY for now. $25 is a great price. But with P5 starting imminent, I don't think I can handle two huge RPGs at once.

you have created the ultimate paradox, the one time ever i might actually agree with not getting the witcher, you def cant play both of these games at once, they both need to be experienced in their full glory, i couldnt put either down, and thought about them all the time when i wasnt playing and wishing i was. now i love games, like i turn down dates to play games. but these are two are a cut above for me.

Probably a good idea. Witcher III is freaking huge and P5 is long. Yes there is a difference, I'm figuring Persona 5 doesn't have a ton in terms of in-game world, just a lot of length in the same areas. Someone should correct me if I'm wrong but this has been my general experience with JRPGs. Though the world for Trails is pretty dece.

If it's going to revert, slide me in for a dib on Gundam Battle Assault 2 + rando, I'll put my list back up, try to find some other stuff to put in. I think it's a decent list, I'm surprised Q2 was the one to go.
