new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

lol I ended up playing something more familiar and comfortable, Mega Man Legends.
With RGB it looks just as I remembered, I also just tried it out digitally on the PS3 on the same TV, it looks just as good...if not better.

I thought I remembered on PS3 via bigger LCD it looks worse but now I can't be sure. PS3 looks damn good. Only difference it might be is I'm connecting the PS3 through DVDO processor. Will try it without to see if it's substantially worse.

As long as you aren't using composite on an LCD, the result is generally livable. I've just been using PS2 component (which isn't the best) with PVM, regular SD consumer trinitron and HD trinitron and it's all fine. Whenever I actually go to play more PS1/2 I will grab a scart cable to see what differences I notice but for now I can't see myself playing something that isn't on PS4 or PC for awhile.

Oh, actually the main story did get finished in about 12 hours, add 22 minutes (probably all 3 of my deaths throughout my run-through, give or take another half hour).

Not bad. Ending was terrible (Story was fine, but it was like... quickly thrown together, heavily scripted, QTE ENDBOSS, NOT EVEN FIGHT + QTE. JUST... QTE). I'm assuming the 36 percent is supposed to signify there was another 64% of pointless game to play, and I say pointless because yes, you get your Urukai thug army together but you see them in action twice, and it's completely impersonal. MY POET SANG NO POEMS IN THE END.

I got through the first area of soul blazer. I thought it was going to be a quick play through but hory shet, I've barely scratched the surface of this game. I love how 4 hours in they show a world map like nope you got a long ways to go. Hell yeah I dig it!

So you got a guy with a user name "Lunar" and this person lists a Lunar 2: Eternal Blue (Complete with obi) for $10...this guy has many trades and has been on this site for more than 18 years.

Even assuming you didn't see the Sega Saturn logo next to it, even assuming you aren't sure what obi is, even if you think wow, what a great price for a complete Sega CD Lunar 2, do you really think it will still be around waiting for you to scoop it up for $100 profit?

Edit: I can be difficult to trade with sometimes so I never like to disparage anyone else for that but pathlesscookies is one of my few exceptions. That and the games are meant to played people so I value new and old games the same.

No one is really like that, it's just an attempt to rip you off load of crock. Games are meant to be played, but just because I believe that doesn't mean I'd trade Spriggan for Akai Katana. I'm not looking to line the pockets of some random person I don't know, but some users seem to expect that here.

I was talking to @Lunar about this recently and I try to completely separate business and random chat and crap here. So I'm generally willing to deal with anyone. I do have four people filtered however. As well as a few people that get lower than normal priority (ie I might wait a day or two hoping for more offers before responding to them) when wanting to buy something from me. Especially if I'm offering a really good price. It's no one that's ever posted in this thread.

Yea. They said "well, you said complete in box, which is misleading".

I guess there is some basis for it since Wii U has a weird design that the digital games actually stays on the system if it's pre-loaded(don't know if the WW HD digital copy is preloaded or came with a code, if someone can clarify)

I just paired the Zelda decal-ed Gamepad with DD's Wii U to make it ZELDA edition.

In either case, I offered full refund or I can ship them a WW HD physical copy.

It's not misleading at all, at least to me. Though I'm generally not retarded (I have my moments like anyone). I think you are handling this pretty well, if they won't take a physical copy of WW HD for free then they are really full of it.
