new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I emailed them. I'm going to screenshot everything I buy now so I don't have to waste time for stuff like this in the future. I noticed ebates still doesn't have 1% for video games - do you guys use any other sites? I might try Mr. Rebates but I never got that to work with GameStop.

eBay isn't very good at stuff like that. I feel like one time or another, I was trying to figure out what credit card I used(to check if I got a refund for a return), I had no idea which CC it was going to.

And at one time I had so many eBay gift cards, keeping track of balances was a complete nightmare.

Okay, I have multiple people asking me if the games included in the Modded PSOne bundle are US versions, as if the prices would be appropriate if they were.

No. They aren't. lol. Street Fighter Zero has a printed back insert, and BOTH are import titles. I'm yanking Intelligent Qube back out of the bundle to hopefully avoid the wrong type of male gaze. The system has been modded to allow for import titles to be played. A modded PSOne will cost you around $70 minimum by itself without any plugs, I'm throwing in a controller, power, RGB Scart output cable with composite outputs on the RGB cable, and 3 games 2 games. The price is firm, and I'm fine keeping it if it doesn't sell.

May as well just put this out there. I had people asking about/thinking/hoping Super Metroid CIB and Nosferatu that I had up were US copies despite being labeled SFC. Yeah I decided to put up some games at 1/3 eBay just for you to profit, my special flower. This site is full of parasites.

Haha. I just picked up another copy of Nosferatu for $35, went up about five bucks since the last time I bought it.

My "collection" is in a pretty decent spot right now, only missing a handful of games, and frankly once that SNES Mini comes in from the UK it'll be down to just one or two titles I want still.

LOL.

I will add that overall I like most of the people around, especially active posters in this thread. Otherwise I wouldn't be here of course. It's just a shame that there are so many people lurking in the shadows hoping to exploit someone that doesn't know any better.

It's a lot nicer to play it on actual hardware, coming from someone who has no qualms emulating. You get that feel. Even the NES Classic is frankly better than what I get on the Pi. In some cases (input delay mostly, but it's slightly cancelled out by the audio lag. Hopefully that's addressed in this one)

I'm about to get rid of some of my treasured Sega Saturn RPGs ... because I've come to terms that I will never play them (I have a young son and another one on the way). I thought I'd give you guys a first crack before posting them in the classified section/ebay:

Sega Saturn Albert Odyssey - complete - very good condition
Sega Saturn Shining Force 3 - complete - very good condition
Sega Saturn Shining Wisdom - disc, case, sleeve, but no booklet - very good condition
Sega Saturn The Legend of Oasis - complete - very good condition

I still have to research the prices on these, so send me an offer if interested. yes

Did NES Mini actually GO UP due to the SNES news?

Wouldn't it be nice for Nintendo to deliver a updated version of NES mini with more games? Wouldn't be that hard either.

Find a pin-out on the pins on the back of the system, you can kinda rig up your own AV output using that. Your alternative is their VERY expensive "AV Booster" that plugs into the back of it, the official composite output addon. It is literally 2-3 times the cost of the system. Because Turbo Grafx consumer base is mentally challenged.

RGB, there's pins out for that as well I believe. But that'd be enthusiast-level work I'd think. Both would, frankly.

Just order the ED direct from Krikzz or from Stone Age Gamer. If you have to order on eBay, Retro_Saikou's fine. I think he's an official eBay distributor.

The hero that makes cheap PS also makes a cheaper booster. It works great too.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PC-Engine-Genesis-SNES-NEO...

None up right now but more will be made.

Saikou is definitely a distributor, but it's also a route that has you paying more money for basically no reason. Def just order from Krikzz.

Back when I still had systems to buy, these were the types of listings I was waiting for. Systems in box that looked either lightly used or by a collector. Thankfully, all that scouring ebay all the time for minty systems is in the past.

I think the odds of getting a working Jaguar CD system is less than 50%.

And so will be the truth soon for our precious Sega CD , Sega Saturn, and more. So I guess I'm trying to tell myself hurry up and beat those games first.

Did some comparison of RGB Nintendo 64 and AV(with the elite $20 AV cable @Gypsy recommended)...results aren't staggeringly different.

Of course it's "sharper" with RGB, so it's obviously better, but with anti-aliasing on as default, N64 is as sharp as a toy sword.

The Sega systems are much easier to get replacement parts I would assume.

How so? Jaguar CD is like that because they only ever produced <10k and the system itself is defective.
