new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I got a nes classic at retail, sold it to a friend at cost thinking I could replace it and I am fililar with emulation enough to play the games that I didn't already have access to in that package. Well, never see that thing again, maybe I can get a snes one and this time I'll hold onto it.

Do note that the price is in GBP, so it's actually over $100. Aaaaand it's sold out anyway.

Well it was saying 80 GBP when I had clicked the page @DiamondDave $90 shipped is great. Given that tv standards are universal now, I'm sure it will be fine on a US TV.

I don't think Nintendo is THAT retarded.

Hopefully not. However since they're the originators of the "Just slow the clockspeed down 10hz per second" crapshow, I have to remain cautious.

Luckily since that was a lazy fix, it'd be equally lazy to just make one SKU for all territories outside Japan and slip them inside different shells and just call it a day. So.

The sellers are mostly lucky someone is willing to fork over real American currency for them. One of my favorite game shops has about half the Odyssey 2 library CIB, $5 a piece and they're just sitting there hanging out.

Retro Thread Pilfer & Scoops Program
Here is how it works:

Offer up an item with value more than $10, shipping is paid for by the person offering. But before you can lock in the scoop, you have to offer up a "pilfer" of your own worth $10 or more in value.
- 24 hours to try to get someone to take your item. If no one takes it after 24 hours, it will revert back to the previous deal so someone else can have a chance. Feel free to change it up before your time expires.
- You need to be at least Bronze Star to participate. Regular GameTZ trade rules apply.
- Please wait until at least 2 layers of new scoops before pending trade.
- No price means free. No PayPal needs to be involved, but can be used to offer higher up items. e-Currency is OK.
- Trying not to put more limits than needed, when crap happens, we will try to work it out.

I got the worst blue balls just now. Came across an article that Sentai licensed LOGH for US release, then I saw it was like three years old. And obviously the release still hasn't happened. My first thought when I saw the article was well this is ambitious, but still I'm disappointed. I'll have to check monthly or so now to see if there is any new news and get sad when there isn't.

I don't have the room, but if I did it would be taken up by an entire shelf full of games or an arcade cabinet for the same price as an ugly TV tower I can stand up to play video games at.

Since it reverted again it appears there wasn't much interest in the scoops after all.

Well at least I have already seen it, via fan subbed VHS rips way back. Releasing 100+ episodes of anything that isn't a shonen is pretty difficult, let alone a slow moving space opera.

@Gypsy I was referring to the latest bluray ova release of the remade Eva series, not the way old tv series. "You can not advance" maybe? I did watch it fansubbed aways back and can see why they dragged on it a bit, nowhere near as good as 1:11 or 2:22 ova's.

@Wheels617 I know what you meant, I was talking about the show I was referring to earlier, Legend of the Galactic Heroes. For a long time there were only VHS rips out there so that's what I watched. All 110 episodes in glorious VHS quality, lol. There was a JP DVD box with the whole series that was seriously over $2000 converted from yen. There are blus now, not even in one set. 4 sets and each is over $200 aftermarket prices on eBay/Japanese Amazon. Originally around $300 per set. I don't think they have English subs anyway so it's irrelevant to me but maybe there are at least fan subs for the DVD rip now. I would never expect a US blu release, as DVD would be far more likely (to protect against reverse importing).

I figure why not, it looks kinda cool Super Famicom style and I don't have to fight the US crowd/scalpers

My only worry is that they will cock block it when they go to fulfill orders. But at the very least they should give an opportunity to change the address in that situation.

Unfortunately I just threw $80 at a local Disc Replay for Demon's Crest so I'm looking for stuff to sell, lol.

Speaking of which! Got a modded PSOne with RGB output and a Scart cable I can bundle with SF Zero 2 and Raystorm for $80, twenty cheaper than what I just paid :p

Power cord is a bit touchy but it's fine once you get it set up.

Well that's a pretty great price for a legit Demon's Crest if the label isn't fudgeed so at least there is that.

eBay isn't very good at stuff like that. I feel like one time or another, I was trying to figure out what credit card I used(to check if I got a refund for a return), I had no idea which CC it was going to.

Okay, I have multiple people asking me if the games included in the Modded PSOne bundle are US versions, as if the prices would be appropriate if they were.

No. They aren't. lol. Street Fighter Zero has a printed back insert, and BOTH are import titles. I'm yanking Intelligent Qube back out of the bundle to hopefully avoid the wrong type of male gaze. The system has been modded to allow for import titles to be played. A modded PSOne will cost you around $70 minimum by itself without any plugs, I'm throwing in a controller, power, RGB Scart output cable with composite outputs on the RGB cable, and 3 games 2 games. The price is firm, and I'm fine keeping it if it doesn't sell.

Haha. I just picked up another copy of Nosferatu for $35, went up about five bucks since the last time I bought it.

My "collection" is in a pretty decent spot right now, only missing a handful of games, and frankly once that SNES Mini comes in from the UK it'll be down to just one or two titles I want still.

It's a lot nicer to play it on actual hardware, coming from someone who has no qualms emulating. You get that feel. Even the NES Classic is frankly better than what I get on the Pi. In some cases (input delay mostly, but it's slightly cancelled out by the audio lag. Hopefully that's addressed in this one)

Find a pin-out on the pins on the back of the system, you can kinda rig up your own AV output using that. Your alternative is their VERY expensive "AV Booster" that plugs into the back of it, the official composite output addon. It is literally 2-3 times the cost of the system. Because Turbo Grafx consumer base is mentally challenged.

RGB, there's pins out for that as well I believe. But that'd be enthusiast-level work I'd think. Both would, frankly.

Just order the ED direct from Krikzz or from Stone Age Gamer. If you have to order on eBay, Retro_Saikou's fine. I think he's an official eBay distributor.

The hero that makes cheap PS also makes a cheaper booster. It works great too.

Did some comparison of RGB Nintendo 64 and AV(with the elite $20 AV cable @Gypsy recommended)...results aren't staggeringly different.

Of course it's "sharper" with RGB, so it's obviously better, but with anti-aliasing on as default, N64 is as sharp as a toy sword.

Honestly Saturn isn't super different either. I did some direct comparisons with my PVM since I can have one Saturn plugged in by each method and change inputs with a face button press. Good SVideo is well, pretty good and much easier/cheaper to be able to use. We are talking about video game systems with a pretty limited colour palette to begin with, especially the 16bit and older systems. Like with the NES, do you really need RGB? Really what you want is a sharp image, so I'd say just do as GAWD intended and get a fancy HDMI NES. If your tv has a crapty comb filter there are solutions for that which start at like $10 and don't suck. Also if you are very crazy like me and still watch sd video I picked up an old TBC recently that has done wonders with my VCR. Color adjustment, picture position adjustment etc...really nice unit. Does not play nice with my old consoles though, which I tested mostly for craps and giggles.

Oh and yeah lets not make crazy jokes. Sega CD and Saturn are infinitely more reliable than Jag CD. Now, everything will break eventually, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to keep my old systems working for as long as I'm alive.

Honestly the only way you're ever going to get "better" video out of a N64 is if you're not using an N64 at all. Even with the Anti-anti-AA patches it's just not a nice system, something good emulation can at least moderately improve upon.

What is this AV thing? I want to read about it. It's more than just scalers it's BNC scart adaptors, DC VGA box, $200 OSSC. etc. . I want to read about this $20 option that comes anywhere close to that. Or was Lunar specifically talking about just N64.

@ErickRPG, AV is still AV lol. It's a $20 Nintendo GameCube/Nintendo 64/Super Nintendo composite cable that is one step above a regular composite cable but since Nintendo GameCube's YPbPr cable is $300 sinkhole, I thought $20 is "good enough" upgrade to invest in.

One on hand he is right, Nintendo 64 Gamesharks are stupid and you should fully research them and how they work. Turns out I had a few I thought were busted that worked. They are goofy. Otoh he sold you a product and is kind of being a dick.

Well Sega Dreamcast VGA is easy.

The cheap options are for if you have a CRT. Free good quality SD tube, $10-20 each proper y/c cables, $10-40 external comb filter/encoder and you are done. A cheap switch if you want one even, probably doable for $5 or less since no one cares about random switches with svideo. Hell the comb filter/encoder step isn't even absolutely necessary but I've found that a lot of SD Sony sets aren't great in that area, and those are going to be the most common tvs available. Plus with a good external solution, you have to worry less about your tv and it makes it more replaceable. A good investment, imo. There's a lot you can do to clean up composite and y/c sources, it's just that most people don't care because they are either just not caring at all, or are full scale RGB.

I always recommend Baldur's Gate so I'll second that. I will add I would recommend playing the original version, not beamdog's crappy "enhanced edition". There is a good mod that lets you play the first game in the engine/graphics of the 2nd. That's what I always do. The 4 in 1 pack should still be like $10-12 new and the cheapest way to play the game. All you can buy digitally now is the ee, which breaks my heart since I don't want to give beamdog a dime. Oh well, I've got multiple physical copies of all of it.

Anyway I also recommend: Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale 2, Fallout, Fallout 2, Planescape Torment. If you want to dig a bit deeper: Arx Fatalis, Lands of Lore series (3 games), Quest for Glory series (5 games), Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura, Gothic, Temple of Elemental Evil.

These are predominantly later 90s to early 00s. Earlier 90s and before is a whole different ballgame. Though, Quest for Glory spans from 89 to 98 iirc. As Bighab mentioned the gold box stuff is all pretty good. They are all really cheap digitally too, put in the "forgotten realms" bundles on gog. Some are still separate though, like the Dark Sun games are together for $10 (when not on sale), Ravenloft as well.

QFG was the crap, though I'd only worry about 1-4. Most of the Sierra stuff to come out in the later 90s was garbage. QFG4 was a masterpiece though, I still consider it the pinnacle of Pre-Doom 90s PC gaming.

@DiamondDave V is pretty divisive. But IV ends on a gosh darn cliffhanger. It's most definitely not as good as the first four, but I think it's worth a play, just to close crap out.

@GreenCard200 You mean the pack with the BGs and Icewind Dale and such? I think it's around $30-40. This is the one I think you are talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dungeons-Dragons-Anthology...

There are some older collection releases, I have one of them that I got with some CIB gold box games for 50 cents each. It's this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Advanced-Dungeons-Dragons-... Oddly enough, iirc one of the floppy disc gold box releases I got is one of the three packs that's in that set. It was an older guy with a lot of stuff. Unfortunately he had already just threw out the old computer he played the stuff on, assuming no one would want it. :'(

Oh and I can't remember if it came up in this thread or another but I sold some TI-83+ on eBay that I'd been sitting on for awhile. Is this from exclusively digital content or physical media that also requires space on the harddrive? surprise

Both, like HZD disc needs almost 50gb to be installed, SFV Deluxe fully on digital is a little less than 30gb. I had digital games like Beyond Two Souls and Heavy Rain which combined was something like 70-80 gb lol

Lol yeah, even just random junk data builds up. I recently had to clear out a bunch of old data/installs on a PS3 to start a new game. I don't have a single digital game on that console.

I dug out some more stuff from the "archive" checking for interest here first

32X Special Training Pack - Includes a coupon for $40 off 32X (might be expired, YMMV), explosive game tip video tape (I guess it is a dud, it hasn't exploded yet), exclusive t-shirt, chance to win a sega arcade unit (I would guess that chance is now 0%) - Game cartridge not included - everything is unused, the outer box is not sealed and has shelf wear, the shirt is in plastic inside

DexDrive - N64

DexDrive - PSX

AV System from MadCatz - used in the original box

Zelda kite - new, ready to fly

Tekken 3 shirt from Target - inside a shrink wrapped box

Mario figure from Wendy's - fully articulated figure on a blister card inside a bag

Mario and Yoshi plush with clips - they are in the package they came in which originally also included a ds case (I have the case, but don't want to let that go)

Rainbow Stylus set - mint still in the original bubble mailer it came in

I also have a bunch of various cables and adapters if anyone is interested in those. Some are first party, some are brand new in packaging...

Was the reason I updated the hard drive in my PS3 (though it was abit annoying transferring files). I haven't had my slim PS4 for that long and I just started getting games for it so there's no space issue yet (and it shouldn't be for a while). Will probably pick up sooner than later, P5 (since you guys keep praising it), Tekken 7 (love the Tekken series) & Injustice 2 (enjoyed the 1st and the 2nd looks great).
Any other suggestions of good games for the PS4?

I like the original obviously, but I think it goes like this for me:

Uncharted 4
Uncharted 2
Uncharted 3
Uncharted 1

2 and 3 were both super entertaining as I played near release, I remember thinking they were equally good. But now it's becoming more fuzzy and both games kinda blends together.

Do you mean extenders or something allowing you to use one type of controller on a different system?
Gypsy

Stuff that lets you use a controller from one system on another. It was really a thing back in the day, but the ones I would want are basically impossible to find now, but I have confirmed their existence. It's actually very easy to use dualshock 1/2 on most systems, those devices are pretty common.

We have a couple of Hori arcade sticks (Wii and PS3) that work really nicely. The Wii stick is pretty much a glorified Classic Controller, but it feels especially good for Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. It's also compatible with Pokken Tournament!

I haven't played any games in the Yakuza series but I heard good things about Yakuza 0 so I'll probably get that at some point.
Uncharted is one of their main series so I'll wait on that. You mentioned Uncharted Collection which I might pick up at some point since the only one I played was the 3rd one (which I won a regular one from a Subway contest and received another one (still sealed with a barcode slash) through a PS promotional program. Got some cool things through that program (free games and promo stuff like LBP Bookends and Vita cutout with 4 coins) was fun while it lasted and I should have joined earlier. Though back to Uncharted, at this point I really wouldn't be surprised if they made an ultimate collection or something similar later after Lost Legacy comes out.

You can get a PS360 stick working with PS4, XBone, Dreamcast, PS1/2 (and PC) pretty easily. You can play most shootuns on those systems. PCE is the real pain, lots of shooters locked on there and PCE sticks are expensive and not that great.

I have a random Mad CATZ stick, I think 360 based that had Street Fighter art. I got it compatible with all the older systems I mentioned above and greatly improved the internals and swapped out the crappy Street Fighter artwork (don't @ me). It wasn't super cheap by any means but I'm pretty sure it clocked in at under $250. I'm probably going to add PS4/XBone support at some point.

Yeah Yakuza is one of my favourite modern series. You will have the added benefit of being able to play the first game and hopefully the second as well remastered for the PS4. I love the PS2 as much as anyone but particularly the first game is pretty tough to go back to now. I'm guessing it will be much improved with Kiwami. Starting with Zero is definitely fine, imo. It won't be quite the same to someone that hasn't played the other games but it is a prequel so it's perfectly playable first. It'd be like starting with Phantom Menace, except it doesn't suck.

I could definitely see that happening with Uncharted. The original trilogy is pretty great though, and the collection is already cheap, so I think it is worth picking up now. Also the games aren't too terribly long which is a plus.

I'm surprised some vs games still has online support. I was just testing out my new SFIV wireless controller on PlayStation 3(had to settle with a Ken one, but at least its brand new and works great...for now), and loaded up SF x Tekken playing Arcade and some scrub challenged me to a fight.

Beat the Speed Race in Battletoads with only two deaths after a one year hiatus with Battletoads on the NES Classic, something I never managed to do on the Xbox One. The latency imo is fine, but in some games the sound sync issue throws me off since my muscle memory is boosted a lot by auditory cues, and after so long with them not having to go through an HDMI cord, it throws me off (and the NES Classic injects more audio lag than usual).

The one dog about the NES Classic is they've got some sort of software/hardware in it that throws a blur/freeze on the output image if the color white flashes too rapidly (a neat throw-in for epileptics), which while in Zelda 2 just kinda makes the Game Over screen less impressive, in games like Battletoads actually freezes the action in between some boss encounter hits. And it's at a system level, because obviously Battletoads wasn't even on the thing.

Also, the Wii Classic controller feels great on this thing. Cord's got about 3-4 inches on the NES controller to boot.

@Gypsy- slightly off topic here but could I interest you in 2 of the Shirow Masamune Intron Depot art books (volumes 2 and 3)?

I like them except for 2 reasons: 1) they're big and awkward so they don't fit on my bookshelf and 2) some of the art is just a tad too risque for my liking. Not as bad as Intron 1 and its inclusion of the content cut from the 1st and 3rd English printings of Ghost in the Shell, but still...

I'm really only wanting to have Intron 5 in my collection for the Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon art.

Gypsy

Not sure OSSC will help. I hope it does..

Supported output resolutions

240p/288p -> 480p/576p or 720p line triple (compatible displays only)
240p/288p -> 1280960, 12801152, 1080p, 16001200 line quadruple/quintuple (compatible displays only)
25Khz medium-res modes -> 480p
480i/576i -> 480p/576p or pass-through
480p -> pass-through or 960p line-double (compatible displays only)
all other 31khz resolutions passed through

The future.. OMG, Line Sextuple?!

Will there be a line sextuple mode on the OSSC? Unfortunately not, we're now at the limits of the current hardware. To go into 4K resolutions would unfortunately require more powerful hardware. Will a more powerful OSSC arrive one day?, it's certainly possible. For now, we can expect the rate of new firmware updates to slow down a little as the device is now close to feature complete, at least as far as Marqs imagined it.

""We are experimenting with Crash," he says. "We know there's a vocal fanbase that wanted that to come back. But you never know if that is emblematic of a larger audience or just this niche, nostalgia-based community. So far, we are seeing some real passion for it, so that could lead to other things. "

So the Crash remaster is doing extremely well, which will probably lead to more things. I'd love a Spyro trilogy set.

OSSC has a thread with 4k tv compatibility (of course the TV scales 1080p images). The problem is the TV couldn't handle what the DVDO was giving it. So perhaps I will have luck with the OSSC. If I don't I'll just kill myself.

Using the default brightness is too dim. The new cables( I don't remember seeing the switch on the side of the earlier HDRetroV cables) has a switch to turn the brightness up(only 1 option though) but makes a HUGE difference!

Depends on your display. They are different, and while RGB is a more accurate colour space it doesn't play nice with some stuff. At least, this is my general understanding, I'm no expert.

This is the tread that gave me hope pertaining to getting the OSSC to work with my 4K LG OLED.

https://www.videogameperfection.com/forums/topic/t...

You notice on LG 4Ks there are some Y mixed in with some n/r (which I guess means not required?) for their 4K OLEDs. I have the 2015 EG9600 but the C6P shows Y for line triple and quadruple. And a couple other test Y for line triple and Y for SNES.

If that doesn't work I'll go to that forum you posted and see if I can get both the DVDO and OSSC to work together. By the way are you Gypsy there? I want to say who sent me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I won't have to. I salivate thinking what an OSSC + 4K OLED could do for SNES, Dreamcast and others.

4-Jul(#291)
@ErickRPG I've never bothered to join. I just browse as a guest. My brother has an account there though.

Oh btw, your problem might be that you were feeding the 4k tv a 1080i signal. You said it upscales 1080p fairly easily, but I'm somewhat sure the HD and HD+ top out at 1080i. About as sure as I can be for never having owned one of the units and just going off of what I can find online.

So that could be why. Your VP20 CAN output 1080p.

ErickRPG
GameTZ Subscriber Double Gold Good Trader Global Trader - willing to trade internationally
* 4-Jul(#292)
@Gypsy yep but unforunately my VP20 has handshake (HDCP) issues with the LG so now I use it downstairs on the 40" I bought specifically for RGB systems. Because it just sits there with the LCD blinking and doesn't display any picture. I'll just refresh your memory real quick I made sure to disable HDCP on the TV and the VP20, no use, didn't work. It does work with the Small sony so that's fine.

So I have an OSSC on the way. It's supposed to be a way better upscaler any way. So if it works, I'll be workin that line tripler mode and playing around with scanlines! OSSC on the OLED and VP20 on the small Sony. I'll be rockin.

Gypsy
GameTZ Gold Subscriber Triple Gold Good Trader Global Trader - willing to trade internationally
4-Jul(#293)
@ErickRPG Yeah OSSC is pretty damn good. If I go back to playing old games on an LCD (won't be while my PVM or Lacie Electron are still kicking that's for sure) I'll be pairing an OSSC with my 50pro. Crap if it had VGA output I'd buy one right now for use with the previously mentioned Lacie monitor.

Sucks with the HDCP bullcrap, I forgot about that.

When I had more systems hooked up (mostly just multiples of stuff like 2 Xboxes, 3 PS2s, each on different displays as well as lazily having 360 hooked up via ypbpr) I needed it. Not sure if I'll use it again but otoh I don't really need the $30-ish I'd net after shipping and I might use it again. If you are patient you can get one for less. I paid $21 shipped for one of them. The other was more of a need at the time and I paid like $32.

Bringing up Audio Authority reminds me, I need to test ypbpr to vga transcoding with that beast vga crt monitor I got over the weekend. I know my IA scaler would work (no RGB inputs sadly) but I'm not sure about transcoding.

Eh. I'm really not going to worry too much about it, I use them so infrequently. If I ever get heavy into it I'll spend a bit more money on an SD2SNES but I'm really not worried. These things are already 25-30 years old, the golden years are already long gone. Enjoy them while they last. You can't take it with you.

The NES 140-in-1 bits were interesting though, never occurred to me that this might hurt the system, but come to think of it a lot of the famiclone carts I'd played with in the past did tend to get hella hot.

It's the same principle but the multi-carts are in general even craptier. I would agree that it's not a huge issue (with everdrives) currently as there aren't too many reports of them actually causing damage. However, it's an issue that can and should be easily fixed just like the "boosted sync" Genesis scart cables. It's just not a good idea to run things well out of spec if you don't have to, same goes for using power supplies with crapty shielding. I thought my Duo R or cable had a problem, but it turned out it was the crapty power adapter that came with it. I switched to a M2 genesis adapter and no more crapty visual noise.

And I mean, SNES, Genesis and hucard PCE don't reaaaaally break through regular use. At least, not yet. Well small caveat with PCE is that some of the heavier hueys can screw with the assembly inside. Also for whatever reason arcade card duos stop working, no one really knows why yet, last I knew. Not sure if there are any other problem carts popping up yet. But yes eeeeventually this stuff will quit working. We might all be dead by then. Hell it's nice that there are fancy NES now as well as BLW, because toasters are ceasing to work unless fixed.

I noticed power supplies actually have the potential to interfere with systems pretty severely. I was using a crapty third party adapter with my first AV Famicom and for the first 2-3 minutes of gameplay until it warmed up, there was a LOT of audio distortion. Oddly when I used the Famicom adapter, everything was fine!

Until the adapter blew. Musta switched one too many times. ...Although, I think I do remember using a few famiclone carts... huh

I'm not terribly worried about Everdrives in general, but that should be a cautionary tale to NOT cheap out and buy any of the Chinese rip-offs, as they may have stripped some components to save money and time, which may include some of the semi-but-not-really solutions designed to lessen the stress on the cart/system busses.

Oh and this is just my main takeaway here but this is an easy fix that by all accounts would barely add anything to production cost. So it can easily be better so hell, it should be now that this has, presumably, been brought to Krikzz's attention.

I haven't blew a power supply yet, that's wild. I would say just in general avoid the really cheap/crappy ones. There are decent aftermarket power supplies out there, so you don't even need oem, though if you have oem then by all means use that. Genesis power supplies are REALLY handy to have around. Both versions, though the first one is pretty close to a swiss army knife.

During the same time period that Saturn and PCE imports were actually cheap, it was pretty possible to get MVS carts for pretty cheap. Especially if you don't mind rough looking cards and I mean, they are arcade games, being a bit beat up externally just gives them character. However, it's all unruly af when other console versions are "good enough" and emulation is totally fine.
