new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I was in middle/high school when Nintendo 64 was a thing. My favorites include the Pokémon Stadium games and Snap, Smash Bros., Kirby 64, Ogre Battle 64, Tetrisphere, and F-Zero X.

This is about when I started carrying the jumbo-sized torch for HAL. love I regret NOTHING!

love Nintendo 64. Banjo Kazooie, Tooie, Diddy Kong Racing, Ogre Battle 64, original Paper Mario, Goldeneye, Excitebike 64, 1080. And plus the coolest 30 second slice of Opera "finale" style singing in any video game ever. Haha

I remember having a blast with Pokemon Snap during a friend's birthday party then I think I never played it again.

N64 Smash much like Mario Kart 64 I just can't go back to now. Whereas I don't mind playing SNES Mario Kart at all.

You probably beat it in one sitting. There's secret stuff to find sure, but otherwise that game is shorrrrt.

Conker is the N64's earthbound.

Anyways, N64 just doesn't really have a library that held up as well as, say, the Saturn or PS1. Alot of it's games are just kind of hard to go back to, like, ocaraina of time is great, but it runs so choppy that it's really hard to go back to, compared to say, wind waker or the 3ds remake.

Pokemon snap was the crap because you could take your memory card saves to the Blockbuster and print out stamp sized pictures of your pictures.

The complete Collection is less than 300 games IIRC, with not enough quality games that were made better on the GameCube(Mario party) or remakes (3ds/ds) . Hardly even investing in an everdrive for the durn thing.

And don't get me started on the crap visual quality crapstorm of the damn thing.

With that being said I have 4 of them (I'm a sucker for alternate colors)

lol, it's not too expensive to get it RGB modded, since you are already set up for it, it might be worth the upgrade.

We're just getting in to PS4 (benstylus for the rally racers, me for the RPGs and stuff like Gravity Rush Remastered), and are looking for good games that may exist just off the beaten path. Same deal with Vita - I picked up a practically new PSTV for $40 the other day plus Persona 4 Dancing All Night and had a blast with P4D. Now I'm just looking for a decently priced memory card and some great games to go with it.

Not really collecting in the "gotta catch 'em all" sense, just looking to try some fun games.
