new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

My roommate's planning on making an 8x8x8 LED cube and he wants me to help solder. Looks like I finally get to learn the trade a bit.

One of my secret porn addictions is going on Youtube and watching people better than me solder stuff. I watch Louis Rossmann's repair videos and streams as well as Lord Voultar.

Damn, looking up old retro gaming stuff (especially old forum posts) are littered with Photobucket "pay us" images. I can't believe how many people were hosting on Photobucket, it seems like the whole internet. So many images lost if they're not on internet archive.

I spent a full hour at Gamestop yesterday while the cashier figured out how to process all my disc only returns (multiple orders, multiple shipments, all discounted). I'll probably just drive around to the stores next time there's a sale like this.

Some guy compiled a playable version of Super Strike Trilogy, a compilation of Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, and Urban Strike on Sega CD. Desert Strike was my crap as a kid, I'd love is this was real. Good Deal Games will probably sell an illegal bootleg copy one day.

Ha, look forward to hearing about it. I hope nothing is CHAINSAWED though.

There is some piece of crap that uses the library I check stuff out from that has a player that circular scratches stuff. Noticed it again recently on all discs of the first two seasons of Better Call Saul that I checked out. Didn't end up losing a ton of time because of it but damn dude, get another dvd player.

What am I missing? 9V, 2A power supply. It looks like the most common power supply in the world. I don't have an IFU maybe it's not listed here.

It's easy to get a cheap aftermarket one yes. Which is what I did. 2.5mm inner plug size is just different enough from what I had on hand for anything to plug into it. So it was a minor annoyance.

Also I do like having oem power supplies when it's reasonable to do so.

It sounds like Lukie bought their games via a regular Ebay auction, and they have multiple buyer accounts so it's not like you can entirely block them as a buyer.

I still hold Air Fortress to be one of the great hidden, unspoken gems on the NES. The atmosphere that game gives off is unreal. Absolutely unreal.

You two have gotten that many games already?!? For some reason they have only shipped 5 out of my 12 from my Friday order. Was getting some non pre-owned things from them this morning so added 4 more and the whole order has shipped already. With 1 of the 4 (with two things) in the same box shipped this morning and just now the other 3 (and 2 items) in the same box. -_- Don't know if that is a good or bad thing that they are taking longer with the rest of that Friday order. Or why GameStop was able to do today's order as 2 package instead of separate packages like they're doing so far with Friday's order.

Of the 5 I have gotten, from the same address (don't know why they didn't box them together), yesterday half of the 4 were disc only (Halo 4-2 Disc & Castlevania Judgment) and half were complete (Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom & BlazBlue Calamity Trigger that even included the L.E. bonus discs in their own case (2 cds soundtrack and dvd) And the 5th one was disc only today (Disgaea 4).

I got packages Monday and Tuesday. I even received another shipping notification for one game today. According to their return policy, you have to return games 7 days from the order date to get a refund. I don't think that's actually how they apply the policy. but super cool of them to ship a game 1 day before their policy says I can return it.
