new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

Yeah, not surprised, depending on what you're streaming and what your upload bandwidth is, could be interfering.

Fedex smart post is pretty legit for some stuff. For me to use UPS or Fedex they have to be a lot cheaper than USPS ground, because I would have to go entirely out of my way for either one as they are in obnoxious parts of town (not even the town I live in which is too small for such things) and I'm not leaving them at a drop box even if the package would fit. Whereas there is a post office within a few miles of my house so it's super easy for me to ship out once a day in the morning.

Stage 2 is the same crap. I got lost a bit but I think that's the point of these stages.
I am not a good with hidden from view type puzzles. I remember I got stuck at Wild Arms for like hours before I FINALLY stumbled upon a hidden door.

I am assuming there are like 5-8 stages. I guess there's some replay value since there are 3 different weapon types.

I hope they do something differently next stage.

The only way you are going to a better deal is when they are on sale at Black Friday and even then the savings are eaten up by shipping costs. Also I ordered mine in November and got mine in February.

Oh no that sucks! I mean I might still like it but it sucks that you're not enjoying it. Is it some indie game or is it an official release by a a bigger publisher?

I testes (Freudian slip, spoiler: it's balls) Xsplit for streaming, and it was stuck at 720p (that's fine) 30fps (Heyyyy, that's garbage, no better than Facebook streaming).

I'm not saying the same isn't enjoyable. I like it overall.

Repetitive game play isn't a deal breaker. So far the power ups have only been life and magic meter. Maybe we will see some new moves or new sword or something, but doesn't look like it since there isn't a menu for new equipment or magic spells.

It's developed by a Japanese company called Skipmore, which I don't know much about.

I am enjoying it. For only $5, it's worth the price tag.

Well at least you are getting your money's worth, and I did like the looks of the first level overall and the old school gameplay.

I still want to get a switch this year, I may not I've been buying and trading for lower end items and I'm still furnishing the apartment on a tight budget. But I think this would be a nice reason to get one, and also that street fighter 2 game, I'm not the biggest fan of 3 and 4 but just the idea that there's some cool new stuff in sf2?!? Oh hell yes! Street fighter 2 is my favorite fighter other than every Mortal Kombat and a little known fighter on the jaguar called ultra Vortek.

Are the controls pretty terrible for sf2 on the switch though? I've tried to read some on gamefaqs without spoiling too much but some people say it plays as tight as always, I'm not great at street fighter but if I can't even pull off a dragon punch or E Hondas charge moves it will ruin it for me.

I don't remember the last time I wanted a system just to play street fighter, except snes lol. I mean I still want all the main games like Zelda and Mario but this newish street fighter 2 is only on the switch.

Idk I'm kinda torn. Does the eshop for switch have a lot of nes and snes games to buy? I'm thinking rarer stuff like the lolos or some castlevania 3 or even Friday the 13th? Lol.

And now I need a retron too or one of the other cheap nes Genesis snes knockoffs. Decisions.

Nope, Switch eShop has a bunch of Neo Geo titles. No NES, SNES, N64.

Maybe you should get a Wii U instead.

This is strange. The last time something weird happened for me was I mistakenly put Flat Rate Envelope instead of Flat Rate Padded, which is like a $0.50 difference and they shipped it back to me after holding it. wry smile

Something definitely strange is going on here.

Ended up being pretty rough! Took about twice as long as NG to beat, though I have played Bloodlines a fraction of the time, and have only made it to stage 3 before this clear (thinking on it, might have to do with limited continues on Bloodlines). But definitely tough. I liked the last stage, though the bosses were kinda eh. DEATH was disappointing, probably because they had to slap him at the end of a boss rush, but he still gave me a run for my money the first couple shots.

This was just a desktop capture off Kega emulator, ain't nobody got money for Elgatos and Framermeisters. Software used was Open Broadcaster Software, super easy to set up, and streams way better than the Xsplit I tried yesterday.

Anyways, here's the DVR. I'll keep this one unlisted since I was still figuring stuff out streaming-wise but you can watch it here:

I have an Elgato for HD console streaming and I don't love it. It works just fine, but there's a 650 ms delay for both audio and video, which is strange. For AV consoles, I use the GV-USB2.

Does it have all the neo geo arcade titles? And are they pretty faithful? That might be better than nes games since I can just play them on my nes I just have to find them first.

Mostly I'm hoping for Magician Lord, Crossed Swords (I think that's what it's called) and the first two Samurai Showdowns maybe World Heroes.

Thanks Lunar!
