new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I take a morbid interest in his Youtube videos, mostly for the bullcrap and drama (but I don't like his PC videos where he's using whatever mic he has, sounds like it's in his throat as he speaks). He seemed alright, mostly just trying to figure crap out and see how he could sling some wares. It's unfortunate he gaffed so hard he was restricted.

I disagree a little on this. Most of the people here at gametz are very trustworthy, I didn't hate any of the stuff in bostonitalians mystery boxes. And since I live in California most things can be sold for more here, so even though the people who got mystery boxes from him were not happy if I were into reselling I could have kept what I wanted and got some of the money back on what I didn't and been very happy. ..... Probably.

Also I'm still waiting for @Missile to post his mystery games from @SirConnery I'm thinking there will be some good games in there 😊

Lol that's silly in this negative political climate we find ourselves in I believe positivity is one of the most valuable things we can have. Nothing is lost no matter how bad things seem 😊 We can always do better. And it carries over into trading and everything else as well.

To any Framemeister peeps, FirebrandX put out new profiles with 12-bit color turned on (not sure if any other changes) which are aimed to reduce analog-to-digital noise on dark colors. They were a huge improvement over the original profiles for me.

Not sure if I dare to ask what a decent price on an XRGB-Mini would be.

Hundreds of dollars probably. Does make a big difference though. I didn't go Framemeister because I wanted more multi-purpose scalers but if you only want it for games it's really damn good.

Good news yay. I went and got a 2nd opinion on the vehicle. Something anyone should ALWAYS do. Of course I didn't tell this place anything other than that I had been having some issues and another place did some reprogramming on computerized parts (for free, to rope me in for the transmission repair no doubt). Well they looked it over and they told me that absolutely nothing is wrong. They also said that from time to time the aforementioned reprogramming is required for smooth operation. They charge a nominal fee for it. Anyway they ended up charging me nothing at all, not even for the eval (I've had some minor work done at this place years ago, they have always been the lowest price).

Glad I didn't panic sell anything, lol.

Anyone in the market for a 2DS XL that hasn't even had a cartridge loaded into it yet? Could ship it for $135. Trying to do a little more fundraising for a possible purchase.

Sweet, thanks for the heads up. I just put on the 720 profiles from the 30th but it looks like he released this on the next day.

Are you just looking to play NES games over HDMI? I have an Analogue NT Mini, modded UltraHDMI NES Top Loader and a framemeister, plus an OSSC.

Personally, I prefer the NT Mini using hte built in HDMI directly to the TV. The UltraHDMI mod does most everything the NT can do with exception of the other systems with the alternate firmware from Kevtris. Ultra HDMI modded systems are about $100 less than an NT Mini too. That might be another option for you if this is just about NES games in HDMI.

While the OSSC is great as a line doubler, providing virtually no lag, I still prefer my framemeister upscaler as it just fits my taste better on the look/feel I'm trying to achieve.

I like the fact that nobody told me selling a Framemeister to fund an Analogue NT is idiotic. Instead I get several PMs to buy it.
