new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I dunno what Virtual Boys go for these days, but I see people proudly post "Just bought this VB for $150!" on social media and think the world has gone a little mad.

Speaking of spending money, I got this Saturn lot for ~$11 a game. Nothing crazy, but In The Hunt, Winter Heat, Sky Target, Lost World, and a few others I couldn't have realistically bought for under $20 shipped or so. No broken hinges on the cheapy stuff either. I'll take that any day.

There's one boss in particular that's completely trivialized with the kagebushin, where if you position the clones at jump height and you are at floor level, you cut him and he jumps up, your kagebushin cuts him which brings him down which allows you to cut him and he goes up, this repeats until he dies. Also makes the Spider Lord rather simple once you get a Kagebushin in place.

Believe I had great success with one of the later final forms as well. Also those annoying enemies that chase you and are slightly faster than you, where you'd either have to jump back or slice behind you to clear them, you don't even stop now, you just jump up and cut and one of your clones just destroys them. I think they're useful! I don't like when I lose them.

Spinslash I get (though it's dampened knowing now that it one-shots every boss), but Kagebushin? Fudge that noise

I bought the lot mostly because of Winter Heat actually. Some other stuff will show up here before I bring it to the game store.

I'm doing...better....

I'm almost done watching Macross (last disc tonight!). Then on to GCM. I'm making myself finish them before I actually go and buy Gundam BDs.

Macross really held up for me. Has a good message and solid action though it might be a bit slow for some people. It's certainly not as slow of a burn as some other mecha/space anime of this era.

Yeah, I was able to get a pretty decent deal as he was lacking the video and ac adapter. I have an extra genesis model 1 ac I can use and will grab a video cord off ebay. He basically treated it like it was just for parts since he couldnt test it, but I am pretty darn sure it works. Even if it doesnt for the price I paid it was still worth it since it came with box, controller, and manual.
