new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

What's the most obscure PlayStation game you own?

Does have to be expensive to qualify, post a pic if possible.

I'd be into trading for it if in good condition.

I know nothing about PS1 so every other game seems obscure to me. Sentinel Returns? It's a terrible puzzle (?) game I found out about this year. Grudge Warriors? Didn't know this game existed until this moment and somehow I own it. Apparently it's dirt common.

It's not THAT bad... it's not that good either, but it's a homebrew... I think everyone was expecting a new ga,e with full production value, which just isn't a thing that's ever going to happen again.

It's biggest problem is that it feels so slow. Everyone's used to fast fighters so ju,ping into something like this feels like molasses

The sfc box kinda makes up for that a little, but not the snes box

The shockman satellaview rerelease is way more fun

Hey now, Prime, Melee, Sunshine, Twin Snakes and Luigi are blameless for all the other trash that system attracted.

Actually I'm kinda surprised at the amount of good, playable games I'd still play today that came out on that system. I think it had more quality crap than Sega CD/32X... definitely more than 3DO/CDi or Virtual Boy. Better than an N-Gage, beats Jaguar...

And N64? LOL.

Yeah I was trolling, it's one of their better systems, despite the small library. SNES is the best, obviously, but in either/or situations I'd take it over NES, N64 and Wii U for sure. Wii is tough, I'd have to really think about it. Assuming only Wii games for this hypothetical.

I would 100% have a Gamecube for that Fire Emblem game alone. Sunshine is underrated af tho and every game you listed is pretty good. I'm not big on Luigi's Mansion, but it's not a bad game. Double Dash is still the best Mario Kart game.

I was just thinking about that after I took a crap on it and edited my post, lol, GCN was actually awful solid compared to most systems in general really

I like Wii U much better (mostly due to such a wide array of cross-platform purchase options) but GCN's alright in my books.

Sega CD just has some cyberpunk visual novel, an unpolished but intriguing JRPG with a fantastic sequel, a Shining Force compilation and some anime game where you platform. That's basically the entire library. The rest was redacted from my brain.

Play Road Avenger. You'll probably beat in within an hour on your first or second try. It's awesome and you like anime crap. Wirehead is another FMV treasure. The badass theme song to Radical Rex wouldn't be possible without CD blast processing.

I need to play more Wii U, but I don't really want to and I'd rather play PlayStation 4 games. BOTW is refreshing for Zelda, that's for damn sure.

Super Mario Maker
New Super Mario Bros Wii U/ Luigi U
Super Mario 3D World
Mario Kart 8
Splatoon
Smash 4
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Bayonetta 2/Bayonetta 1
Breath of the Wild (it's even the system I beat it on)
Hyrule Warriors
Wind Waker HD
Darksiders II
NES Remix 1/2
Yoshi's Woolly World
Paper Mario Color Splash

And that's including zero Virtual Console titles, of which there were, of course, many, including lots of very good Wii games.

There's something fun on every system I'm sure of it. Just because you want to dislike stuff and talk trash doesn't make it true 😉

I actually had that on my want list at one point. Before I realized I'll never have time to beat every game on my want list. The closest thing I have to even partially obscure is King's Field II.

Night Trap sold out in less than 30 seconds, I'd say 15 seconds. Looks like Ys took 5 minutes. When I check the page after I ordered Ys and it still said 90% I couldn't believe it. I thought for sure this one would sell out fast (less than a minute).

You saw what they did with the standard edition right? Unlimited/to demand.
