new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

That doesn't sound fun to me.

Not giving sellers the chance to enjoy buyer promos is just dumb. I shouldn't need to set up two accounts and have to micromanage where I am when I buy something or sell something

You are right of course. But it's just how you play the game.

Sellers were fudgeed worse in the earlier eBay days.

Yeah the selling for eBay bucks thing does NOT work. Someone needs to sue them for that already.

Yeah they had a bunch of watchers and weren't gonna last. I bought them within hours of being put up. The big thing with stuff like this is even finding a seller willing to ship, so much local pick-up only and this seller seemed much more competent (and the speakers in better condition) than the other listing I had been considering.

No.

Certainly not in that condition. I'm sure some Turbotard will pick it up anyways, further driving up the "price".

I got an extra, but you can probably just get it at 6pm without paying double shipping from me. It didn't go as fast as super popular games. I also have to pay an extra $0.82 county tax because I live in the same county as LRG so my cost is higher than anyone else you could get it from frown

It's cheaper though (possibly the first time in LRG history). PA had it shortly for $27.99 when LRG announced it (I had a price alert) but not right now.

Flame in the Flood sold out fastest of all, a game that was available on PC last week for $1 and only runs at 30fps on consoles despite looking like a PS2 game. Gotta have that physical US release or death. PA isn't an option!

I paid $34.98 shipped which is just a hair cheaper than LRG. Basically the same difference I just think it's funny that the game had an unlimited Asian pre-order, but people are tripping over themselves to buy the LRG release.
