new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is brand:::PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I've got an even better one, bros, $15 per game and I'll send it back with a sticky note attached to it with either "It's fine" or "It's not fine" and sign it DD. Sealed OR unsealed, I don't give a fudge, give me $15

Of course they will but he can put the proper grade on them so the sellers will know the exact amount to charge 😉

If that Shining Force 2 got marked up by 1000% imagine how much any random sealed game could be worth.

Would you not want your sealed copy of BOTW that you bought with GameStop credit yesterday to be worth 500% more verified today and sold on eBay for BIN of +400%?!?

I know I would then maybe I could be that reseller everyone believes I am anyways.

What if all my stuffs not ok? Do you just throw it away to save me the embarrassment of having to start my own freebie thread?

Or do you recycle the games as coasters and paperweights? Recycling is important sir we gotta save our Beloved Mother!

Pftt, everyone's got their panties in a bunch. Reselling is not even profitable these days unless you are Forgotten Freshness.

If i buy a game at $40 shipped, play with it for 3 months, and value jumps to $50, and i sell it for $48 shipped, pocketing $5 and played for 3 months for free, am i a reseller?

agreed, getting enough finds to be a reseller is nigh impossible now. I used to dabble in it back in '08 and '09 a little bit, and never made a lot even then, especially for the time invested.

Many would argue yes. Lol.

The answer is no though. You are not a reseller Lunar. You are a regurgitator.

Yes, I eat games and then spit them back out.

Let's take @dunno001's example, he picked up Aero Fighters at $10, do people honestly expect him to sell it for $12.77 shipped?

@sailorneorune I hear ya. I try to do my research on older games so I typically do not actually buy games where that is the case but I know they are out there. Kirby is great. Kinda makes me want to play my SNES tonight but...

Right now my game room is all tore up for the projector set-up and of course the projectors are broken. Once I get the refund I'll grab myself something nice but this was so disappointing.

I never saw you as a reseller or a regurgitator (gah-ross @Gypsy)

You always give me great deals other people who are labeled as "just" resellers are simply not that either. Even from Gametz "resellers" I am always getting great deals I think the problem comes in when people don't "care" about product demand and scarcity which equals "huge profits for scalpers" most people on here don't buy with only the intention of reselling I don't believe. So if one person gets their one copy of LRG random game and charges less than eBay why is it okay for everyone to call him names and harass him constantly? It's getting ridiculous especially since I have bought so many great things from him under market value and he's always honest and upfront about everything.

I'm not a huge fan of capitalism right now in our current social and political climate but why on earth should someone sell a rare game at cost when he knows you wanna just turn around and eBay it for triple your damn self?

That's the greed on gametz or the entitlement or whatever. On nes and snes classics yeah those should be around cost because if they do keep their promise to keep making them it's a total dick move to gouge someone here for them first but if you made an extra 20 to 40 bucks over cost that should be totally acceptable too I would think.

Idk I can see both sides but there is no need to bully people into lowering "their" price. There is usually a lot of work and/or luck on the part of the seller to even get this stuff at cost so do they not deserve "anything" for their time and effort AND not getting current going values for their items? I think they deserve something even its just an extra 20 bucks.

Yes and I have heard that before I know he's not a reseller though, at least not in the demonizing sense that a lot of people who want you to give them stuff would have you believe.

Everything I have ever bought from Lunar is either just around or WAY below current market values. My point was that if you paid for a product and it's still valuable no one should expect you to just give it to them for way less or free.

Not gross at all I live in California good sir,

In weird point of fact I was born and raised in the porn capital of the world, the San Fernando valley 😉 Now I just so happen to live in what is at times considered the "Meth" capital of the world. The Antelope Valley lol.

But yes people do expect to bend certain people over every time and it's out of hand here. So gross to some or not the description is completely apt for this conversation 😉

I mean, it's a pretty good game. There's not much exciting or frustrating to talk about. Castlevania has Death (and the hallway before him), NG has 6-2 and Jaquio. For @sharif Castlevania has Frankenstein. Those things are all doges. Maybe we need to pick hard games as a rule. Rename this thread "The Struggle Club".
