new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is brand:::PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

Have you never played these before? I can totally see you killing all the children and elderly needlessly in your quest for dark side dominance however. 😉

Okay, does anyone know how to get the paypal shipping link to allow shipping to Canada? It's changed and it only takes States and a couple other locals but no Canada. Is there a new link or something other than using USPS directly online?

tekken 7 ya, there several characters have qcf and qcb moves, nina (my main) has qcf +1 as a staple move in several combos, plus its just a great quick move, qcb is no problem, so its gotta just the way im holding it. if you dont do it perfect you get a different move as she has a move for just about every command imaginable

Okay well that makes sense I used to have to be paying attention playing Tekken when I wanted to do anything diagonal on the pad. Otherwise I would get whatever my down or back or forward + attack was.

Of course I play with different pads and I'm usually fine on most games. But Tony Hawk on anything kills my right hand because I gotta keep my index in the grind button thumb on jump and middle on the shoulder buttons that's cramp city right there.

How long do your Tekken sessions go? Maybe try cutting them in half until you're used the new controls? Play something less intense in between.

Okay so I decided to see how bad the retron 1 controllers actually are, um there's almost nothing wrong with them except the ducking problem in SMB I noticed but I will need to try them out on Adventure Island 2 and Castlevania or Ninja Gaiden to see if it controls good with those too.

It's actually pretty good to use on SMB I got further on one continue than I did with an original pad recently. No warping no one up trick and I got all the way to 6-3 before I ran out of lives.

Pretty good as far as what I've heard. I guess I can play almost any controllers except wii motion controllers and also not a fan of the GameCube pad design.

You know I remember being floored when I put DQVIII on my 40" downstairs with the DVDO. It looks good with OSSC on my 65" but I didn't quite have that initial reaction I did before. I thought it was because I was "used to it". But perhaps they are right and DVDO is better for 480 content.

I think I'm going to move my PS2 and Xbox to the DVDO downstairs and use the OSSC for my old stuff like brand:::Super Nintendo brand:::Sega CD and brand:::Sega Saturn.

It's also not a good game. Its greatest flaw was being utterly unremarkable. It looks like it was designed to get 4.0 scores in Gamepro across the board. I wouldn't have given them the satisfaction.

I didn't say 4 was bad, I said it seems like the game was simply created to score well. But to me that's only skin deep. Nothing about the game you played the other day made me think "Man, I really wanna play that." It's pretty and polished and boring.

Oh, I see what you meant. Hm, MiMP prob gets 7.0 out of 10 from me. Compared to NG or CV, the difficulty level is a joke but it controls well at least, and the music is good too.

The bosses were all pretty easy, once you figure out their pattern.
