new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is brand:::PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I might be the only one here who would prefer a n64 classic over an snes classic but there would be two zeldas (presumably) a much better Mario Kart and of course Diddy Kong Racing would be my main reason to have one. Although Banjo games and quite a few others would be really cool as well.

As far as gameboy I could see a Gameboy classic being totally different maybe two different versions one portable and one you could play on a tv. Because let's face it those screens with those graphics.

Also I don't see why gameboy, gameboy color and gameboy advance games can't be on the same classic system since they all share the same basic moniker. I also don't believe the original gameboy has enough "must have" games to justify its own system without at least gbc games and maybe even gba games.

But idk if Nintendo is still hoping to sell more wii u systems but that's the only reason I can think of not being able to transfer your games on their network.

I'll take an easy to travel with N64 and 4 good controllers over another way to play SNES games any day. Although, it would be lame without the Rare games. No Diddy Kong Racing or Goldeneye in the real world N64 classic smiley:::frown

Actually they rereleased Diddy Kong Racing and it was a newer version (kinda) on the ds after Microsoft acquired Rare so I'm not sure that it couldn't happen no matter how improbable it might be now.

Even with just the two Zeldas and Mario 64 (not that I'm the biggest fan of it but I know I need to give it another chance one day) plus Mario Kart there are still a few games besides those to round it out. I liked Star Wars episode 1 racing a lot of course the DC version is way better but it doesn't mean the N64 version isnt great too ..... There's just not as many extras I guess.

I have the vita version of Ys Origin LRG with card (card is bent but not creased) for $45 shipped, sealed. It goes for $55 on ebay, so hopefully this is a good enough discount for people here. I just decided I don't want to play it.

Ignore my previous post. I seem to be able to checkout if I'm not on a mobile device.

So who's getting the Super NT? I almost went with the transparent "colour" but I went with the SF edition.

Whatever the first system to have an adapter that lets me play pre-NES games with real carts and controllers is, I'll get. People seem convinced all the old cores and getting ported to the Super Nt as well, so if there are adapters and such for it, I'm onboard. I'm not buying hopes and dreams though, only an actual product.

Forgotten Freshness' latest trade ins from the weekend are a gold Famicom Punch-Out, sealed Tengen Tetris, Saturn Battlesport, NCAA 2k3, TriStar 64... I wonder if he's just a fence for stolen merch from high end collectors and that's how he gets all this stuff traded in.

My local game shop got like... Mega Man 2 and 6 and some other playable NES games traded in recently. I guess that's cool too.

My "local" shop is 2.5 hours away, lol. I'm just in town frequently for pinball tournaments. The more local-local shops are garbage.

My local shop has really been stocking retro the last year or so. Lots of nice boxed nes, snes, etc. But their prices are close to or higher than eBay. This place used to be really good to pick things up, now they must use ebay for pricing.

heres a good one, who was your first trade? and are they still active? (this actually might be a good idea for a topic in general)
