new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is brand:::PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

Its not too bad. 15 was an exaggeration. With careful planning I can visit 5 GS with very little out of the way driving.

I'd rather buy from here or in store. Haven't had great luck on eBay. For example that ToS @Gypsy got from me was supposed to be excellent condition. Ask him if it is smiley:::smile

I'd jump on this in a New York minute. I've even got a cool name GameStop could use for this tier. They'll call it "Powered Up Complete." smiley:::cool smile

the vita versions of disgaea 3 and 4 are on sale on the psn store, are they that much improved or add that much extra content over their ps3 brothers? it says it has extra chapters but are they worth double or triple the cost of the ps3?
@dunno001 maybe would know?

disgaea 3 ps3 is 3.99, and D3 vita is 11.99, as is D4, D4 ps3 doesn't appear to be on sale oddly there is a lot NISA on this sale. the vita ones they are typically 29.99 so its got me looking at it like it maybe worth it if there is a ton of content there. disgaea D2 ps3 is on sale for 12.99 as well.

I think im gonna grab all three and trade my ps3 versions to offset it a little.

on a side note, there is another big sale on, lots of resident evil. and the legacy of kain ps1 games are 1.19

I am about to send my last system in to get an RGB mod so once that is done the OSSC will be my only unit to my TV. I think I am getting rid of my Trinitron as it takes up to much room.

Something to keep in mind with the OSSC and scanline generation is if your tv has 4:2:0 color subsampling it's going to look washed out. Not sure if this is happening in @RobotVendingMachine pic as it is not a screen capture.

I do notice some colors are off a bit. The two wall columns and Richter's blue clothes.

Also the health bar is lighter than usual.

If you have scanlines on with 4:2:0 the problem is it sees the regular saturation but it also sees the solid black lines and "fixes" it by balancing stuff out/averaging the values. 4:2:0 is necessary for other crap though, like streaming.

The OSSC is a great little device but I still prefer the Framemeister as my main but as I've said before, that could change as we keep getting updates for the OSSC. Heard that marqs was considering adding in some latency info/testing options to a future update which would be handy and has some nice potential there.

I'm planning on opening my one and only PCE Arcade game that happens to be sealed to test the arcade card when I get it.
